The Hayloft has been sympathetically renovated and boasts exposed beams and the original round bulls eye window for pitching the hay through. Situated in a great location between The Mere and the Llangollen Canal yet also within 15 miles of 5 other towns and 3 miles from the Welsh border. Lots of castles, gardens, attractions and activities all nearby. Ellesmere is a short walkable ½ mile away and offers an array of independent shops and lots of eateries. With a brand new fully fitted kitchen (includes full oven, induction hob, dishwasher plus a variety of crockery and pans) and open plan living space you have everything you need to enjoy your stay in comfort in The Hayloft. A Welcome Pack of teas, coffees, hot chocolate and biscuits awaits you and there will be fresh milk in the fridge. The bedroom offers a double and single bed and en suite shower room with complimentary toiletries and large fluffy towels on the heated towel rail. Plenty of hanging space plus full length mirror, hairdryer and complimentary slippers. With underfloor heating throughout, free wifi and new SMART TV you can really relax. Guests are welcome to walk round or sit in the large garden and there are plenty of country walks from the doorstep. A short walk (3 mins) takes you to The Boathouse by The Mere where you can enjoy breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas. Or head on into Ellesmere (half a mile away) for lots of independent shops, cafes, pubs and takeaways. With lots going on at Mereside Farm - we have dogs, cats and horses and a large garden and there are lots of local activities - so it is easier if you contact me by text and I will respond to you ASAP. There are walks, cycle routes, sculpture trail, gardens, meres and canal, and the town centre all within walking distance of Mereside Farm. Ellesmere is a friendly town with community groups and activities. There is free parking at Mereside Farm. Ellesmere is in a great location as it is centrally located to so many towns and therefore railway stations (Gobowen 7 miles, Wem 8 miles, Whitchurch 11 miles and Shrewsbury 17 miles.) The Ellesmere-Shrewsbury bus passes the farm gate. The bus stop to Oswestry is ¾ mile away. The Shropshire Way - walking route - runs along the farm boundary and there are ample cycle routes locally or nationally including LEJOG. We offer secure storage for bikes.
