Peaceful Hobby Farm self-contained accommodation

R&R Retreat is a peaceful get-away & has a fully self contained granny flat attached to our house. Our beautiful acreage / hobby farm includes chickens, dog, cat & horses. Please read the 'policies and rules' for extra information. Dogs MAY BE accepted however MUST have our approval prior to booking. The guest house is the first door up the ramp from the carport. It has its own queen bedroom with separate bathroom, kitchen / dining and lounge area. We are a working property but are mindful of keeping noise to a minimum. Your deck overlooks the front paddock & hills. It is lovely to sit and relax. We only allow inside dogs and cannot accommodate outside dogs due to lower fences. The porch is lovely to sit with your pooch as it is fenced & gated. Dogs must not roam on the property unattended and must never be left at the property while you go out sightseeing. Please pick up doggy poo and take it with you. Our dog Jessie loves socialising if your dog is ok with that. She can be intense at times so just close the gate to the porch if you’d like some quiet time 😁. You will need to bring pooch supplies. Pooches (max 2) do incur a $30 fee per stay. We want you to enjoy your stay so we supply all linen, towels, doonas, blankets & pillows as well as complimentary quality tea and coffee machine (some coffee supplied). For the colder months we have a beautiful wood fire (we supply wood), a warm doona & electric blanket. For the warmer months we have a quality air conditioner. R&R Retreat has loads of wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats, turtles and common bird life. Our hobby farm currently has 8 chooks which provide you with fresh eggs. We have two horses, Jessie our friendly kelpie & Princess our, sometimes grumpy, cat. We look forward to having you stay with us. Guests need to have their own vehicle. Gate is always locked so guests will given a gate entry code the day of arrival. Car parking- As we are renovating guests can park on the grass area opposite the carport or park outside the first bay where the lawnmower is. As we live on the property we may see you. We are friendly people who will happily have a chat. Feel free to send inquiries through the app or via text. Privacy is important to us and we highly respect yours. O’Connell is a peaceful area with a lovely cafe, unique gift store & pub. Oberon and Bathurst are lovely towns and are 20 mins away. Mayfield Gardens is a beautiful tourist destination. You will need a car to get around out here. Mostly sealed roads though ours has 2 kms of dirt road.
