Crofton Ocean Front Suite

This is a spacious private suite of approximately 1100 square feet that can comfortably host 4 people. Private ground floor entry and keypad ensures you can come and go at your convenience. The patio faces north to Osbourne Bay giving a beautiful view of the ocean and all the ferry and boat activity. It's a comfortable, shady spot in the heat of summer. Full toiletries, premium bedding, complete kitchen with coffee and tea, full size fridge, dishwasher and in-suite laundry facilities all provided within. Kitchen is well stocked with plenty of pots & frying pans, small appliances (blender, small mixer, toaster, electric kettle), dishes, flatware and serving and mixing bowls. Flat screen tv with cable. Wifi code provided in suite. In-floor heat keeps the space warm in the winter; north facing ocean breezes cool it in the summer. The common space, bedroom and bathroom each have their own thermostats for your comfort. We all look for assurances that we are safe during these unprecedented times. To this end, we block a minimum of 3 full days between guest’s stay to ensure that: (1) there is a full day after one guest leaves before any one even enters the suite, (2) then there is a full day of cleaning as per Air BnB’s cleaning protocols, (3) then the suite is unoccupied until the third day when you arrive. Our cleaning lady is very thorough and I follow behind just to be sure nothing is missed. Our reviews back this up - our suite is clean and safe for you! In return for what we do to keep you safe, we hope that you as a guest in our home, are fully vaccinated for Covid-19. When you arrive there will be a supply of masks, gloves, wipes and hand sanitizer for your personal use. In addition to all that we do, Vancouver Island has been one of the safest places in Canada to visit; our Covid-19 numbers have consistently been among the lowest in Canada. We want you to enjoy your stay here in Crofton on Vancouver Island and to be comfortable in our home! Parking on the driveway, off the street. Extra street parking available. Our property is ocean front however we sit on a bank with a steep drop off so it may not be suitable for all ages of children. If you are travelling with children please enquire before booking. We aim to be present when you arrive but this isn’t always possible. We like to meet our guests but then give them their space. We are available by phone, text and email. Crofton is a friendly community, about 20 minutes from Duncan. Convenience stores, liquor store, cafes and pubs are all within easy walking distance. The Sea Walk is just steps away, at one end is a beach park with fitness equipment, the other end leads to the government dock, BC Ferries terminal, the Old Crofton School Museum and a lovely park overlooking the bay. Services in Crofton are all within walking distance. A transit bus is available to take you to Duncan, Chemainus, Maple Bay and surrounding communities. Duncan and the Trans Canada Highway are an easy 20 minute drive. There aren’t any steps going down to or in the suite. The sidewalk is well-lit but has a definite downward slope. The inside of the suite is completely at ground level.
