This delightful, riverside holiday property is designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. It boasts a modern interior and comfortable furnishings with everything needed for a perfect stay. The property consists of a comfortable living/dining room and well equipped kitchen on the ground floor, with a double and single bedroom and modern family shower room on the first floor. Outside there is a peaceful seating area which is ideal for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. It is a short stroll over to the river to admire the passing boats and watch the water fowl. The property is ideally situated to explore the numerous attractions that this part of East Anglia has to offer. Course fishing is available at nearby Stoke Ferry Lake. The National Trust Oxborough Hall is just 4 miles away and offers a memorable day out. Just a 15-minute drive away is Thetford Forest. There you can ‘Go-Ape’ with tree top adventures, enjoy the many woodland walks or hire a bike or Segway and explore the off-road trails. There are super beaches at Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea, or for family fun visit Hunstanton which has a funfair, amusement arcades and lots of traditional seaside activities to appeal to all ages. The Queen’s Estate at Sandringham, the lavender fields at Heacham and the many coastal villages with pubs serving local seafood are all within an easy drive. Bird watchers are spoilt for choice with Titchwell, Cley, Holkham, Blakeney, Snettisham and Welney all within easy reach. Walkers can enjoy year round spectacular walks throughout Norfolk with well-maintained footpaths with plenty of pubs and tearooms offering a welcome break along route. The bustling town of Downham Market, 7 miles, has restaurants, pubs and shops. Kings Lynn, 15 miles, holds the annual ’Mart’ funfair for two weeks in February and has Festival Too, a popular music festival which is held over the summer. A day trip to Cambridge, 38 miles, is not to be missed where you can hop on a city tour bus and see the sights. Whilst there, you can visit the University Botanic Garden which covers 40 acres and has more than 8,000 species of plants from around the world or, for the more adventurous, try punting on the river Cam.
