It also has a weekly market on a Thursday. This is an ideal base from which to explore both the nearby Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks. Lake Windermere, with fine water sports opportunities, is a 20-mile drive. Ingleton is only a 5-minute drive, famous for its waterfalls and gorgeous scenery and also White Scar Caves. Golf, fishing and riding can be found locally. A supermarket is within 1 mile and a restaurant and bar on site at adjacent Whoop Hall Inn.
