Oxford Brookes University, JR Hospital, Nuffield Hospital and Churchill are all under a 15 minute walk away. Our nearby recommendations would include visiting the house that CS Lewis lived in and wrote the Narnia books (with gorgeous nature reserve behind it), taking a stroll through Shotover Country Park or BuryKnowle Park (including kids play area) and going to see the 'Shark House' (definitely worth a photo). There you will also find ATMs, Anytime Fitness gym, barber shops, hair salons (Ice Hair recommended), a Boots pharmacy, a petrol station, post office and everything else you need to cover your daily requirements. LOCAL THINGS TO DO In Headington and especially down London Road you will find a mixture of shops, parks (Buryknowle & Shotover), trendy cafes and local pubs. LOCAL PLACES TO EAT & DRINK Headington has plenty of lovely restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars to choose from! The White Hart - Traditional British pub serving food with beer garden, highly recommend their Beef Steak & Stilton Pie. Beirut - Lovely little Lebanese restaurant. Acropolis - Greek food. Posh Fish - Fish and chip shop. Craft Burger. Bhoomi Kitchen - Indian Food. Shanghai House - Great for Chinese takeaway. Adria - Italian. If you venture out, we would recommend going to one of the bars and restaurants on top of the Westgate complex in the city centre or along Cowley Road. OXFORD CITY CENTRE By foot: On a Summer's day, Oxford city centre can be easily reached by foot in approx. 40 minutes involving a scenic stroll over Magdalen Bridge.
