Set within the sought-after North Norfolk village of Thorpe Market this traditional three- bedroom cottage is just packed with period personality and has been furnished with high end pieces that will ensure a cosy stay and a great night’s sleep. Boasting a wood burning stove and some feature beams you are sure to fall in love with Sandpit Cottage and not just because of its great location. Situated between the coast and the Broads and with great links to Norwich too, you really couldn’t choose anywhere better to spend your coastal break. With beautiful beaches just under 5 miles away you can start your seaside adventure in Cromer where you will find a wide sandy beach, an impressive Edwardian seafront and, of course the famous pier that hosts the last of its kind seasonal end of pier shows. Here you will also find a host of traditional seaside attractions and retailers and artisan shops, cafes, restaurants, and inns. Travel East or West from here and discover a string of pretty seaside town and villages with habitats including sand and shingle beaches, clay and salt marshes, rolling sand dunes and picturesque quays. Head in the other direction from Sandpit Cottage however and you will soon be in Wroxham, which is considered the gateway to the Broads. Join a tour or charter your own day launch and drift along these much-celebrated waterways. You should also try and make time for a trip to the medieval city of Norwich with its splendid Norman Castle, numerous museums galleries and theatres and award-winning market and Lanes. You can even take the train from nearby Gunton Station, which will also take you to the seaside town of Sheringham, Cromer and wonderful Wroxham too. Add in Bewilderwood, Amazonia Zoo, North Norfolk and Bure Valley Railways, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and Sheringham Park, The Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections, The Sandringham, Holkham, Blickling and Felbrigg Estates and so very much more and you will soon see why this part of Norfolk is so popular. And, having worked up quite the appetite, especially with all the sea air, you will be delighted to discover Norfolk’s burgeoning foodie scene with many places serving fresh, local produce. And then, you get to head back to your gorgeous, welcoming cottage to dream of adventures yet to come. Just lovely! Free WiFi
