Built in 1837 and lovingly maintained in the years since then, this bright and beautiful antique colonial is perfectly positioned at the gateway to Downeast Maine, Mount Desert Island, and Acadia National Park. This home is traditional in the best sense, offering wood floors, wallpapered rooms, and a layout that has all four bedrooms on the second floor. As you enter, you'll be greeted by a living room - with large windows, a sectional sofa, and a wall-mounted flatscreen cable TV - to your right, and a formal dining room for six to your left. The full kitchen is at the back of the house, offering stainless steel appliances, stool seating for five, and easy access to the outdoor gas grill and the expansive backyard to enjoy on summer days. At night, you can leave the day's clothes to spin in the basement washer/dryer, use the free WiFi to make plans for hiking in Acadia tomorrow, and sleep soundly in one of the four upstairs bedrooms - all of which share a full hallway bathroom.
