High trees Byre has undergone a thoughtful refurbishment while keeping many of the original features and character. On the first floor you’ll find a landing with a single sofa bed that is just for flexible sleeping arrangements and the main bathroom is just off this landing and offers a shower over the bath. There are two good-sized bedrooms one with a double and the master with a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room. The ground floor is largely open plan with a with a range of easy seating, a dining table, woodburning stove and TV, perfect for those cosy nights in. The kitchen is well equipped and provides everything you need for a family feast or a hearty breakfast before a day of adventure. The cobbled courtyard at the front offers two private parking spaces, whilst at the rear, leading from the dining area, you enter an enchanting, enclosed garden with raised beds, a small, raised pond and stunning countryside views. Perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening, or a morning coffee to start your day. High Trees Byre offers an excellent location and, in many ways, the best of both worlds. Lamplugh sits between Cockermouth to the North and Ennerdale to The South. To the East you have views to Blake Fell and Melbreak as well as easy access to Loweswater. The scenery around this unspoilt part of The Lakes is stunning, and the beauty, colours and unforgettable panoramic views are a sight to behold. Whether you want an easy stroll, a challenging walk, or a serious climb, this makes a great base from which to start your adventures. Being on the National Park border with its abundance of walks, cycle routes, wildlife, mountains, and lakes you’re never too far from picturesque countryside and if you love the outdoors, you’ll love this spot. The land beyond this along with the land and gardens either side of the drive are all owned by High Trees House.
