Cobble Rigg is a beautifully presented, spacious ‘chalet style’ house, with lovely feature walls of exposed stone in the living room and hall. Relax in the conservatory, which overlooks the garden, and enjoy the dramatic views of Blencathra to the rear and Clough Head to the front. There are so many walking opportunities from your doorstep, including direct access to Blencathra and footpaths to Skiddaw and Latrigg, not to mention a path into Keswick itself - it truly is a walker’s dream location! The village of Threlkeld is steeped in history; visit the church dating back to 1573, and the two pubs built in the 1600s. Threlkeld is also on the National Cycle Route 71 which runs from the coast through Keswick and Threlkeld and on to Greystokes and links to other routes. Beach 26 miles. Shop 4 miles, village café, pub and restaurant 500 yards. Free WiFi As there are no shops in the Village of Threlkeld, you may find the following information useful when deciding where to purhase your supplies. There are good Supermarkets in the centre of Keswick which is only 4-5 miles away, but if you just need a few items, out of hours there is a Spar Shop and Fuel Garage on Penrith Road, CA12 4JP on the way into Keswick, this way you wouldn't have to go into Keswick itself. The shop is open from 7am to 10pm every day. To get to Keswick from Threlkeld, carry on along the A66 going past Threlkeld, and take the first turning sighned for Keswick which is Penrith Road - A591 then A5271. You can also Pre-Order your shopping from Sainsbury's, Asda and Tesco they all deliver to Threlkeld. There is also a farm shop Cocklakes CA11 0SG on the southside of the A66 near Troutbeck heading back towards Penrith from Threlkeld. They sell local produce and some basic essentials.
