Welcome to a rare find in Nelson or indeed the whole of Pendle or Lancashire.... a PET FRIENDLY - 4 Bedroomed, Detached House, available for short-term rental. The majority of short-term rental choice in the area appears to be hotel, terraced or semi-detached housing. So a 4 bed detached house, at this price, accepting pets is a rare find, especially that offers an enclosed space for pets. It sits on the back of Marsden Park Golf Course and so it overlooks all the golfers pulling their golf carts in the morning, trying to get a hole in one! It has great features from shiny floors, memory foam mattresses on the beds, to a easily disassembled computer desk, foldable dog crate and easy off the street car parking on it's front drive. This is one of those properties that is a lovely surprise to most guests, as it offers a great feeling of cosiness , but its in a detached property with generous room sizes, just like a house should feel. This is a BUDGET TYPE ACCOMMODATION, it is NEVER going to be a 'sophisticated' or 'Romantic' getaway to prove your love for a partner, that'll cost you an extra £200 / night in Leeds. Like many houses of this area, it’s required & had a few updates as time has passed, but you can't paint away its growing history. When your head hits the pillow, you’ll be soon relaxing or snoring your head off and dreaming of your next adventure. The house was always popular with bargain holiday guests, but nowadays is being booked by varied groups, such as singles, couples, walkers, amateur golfers, theatre crew, parents of children, (some with special needs), company delegates, business people and obviously some very nice dogs and their owners. We don’t normally advertise to holiday guests, as it’s not really our market, but they can’t seem to resist our prices, especially in peak season, so whatever your reason for choosing us, you’ll be welcome. Basically it’s a 4 bedroomed, detached, very nice, traditional Lancashire house that offers a lot more homely cosiness than a modern sterile hotel usually does, but its about 40 years old, so it's not unusual to find a 'Crumbly Grumbly', who expects something that can't be given by a property of this age, ie: it can't shine from every corner, but any property in this avenue is immediately snapped up because of its location. A great feature is that we don’t mind having pets stay and its not far from the M65 either. So its not the Ritz at Lidl prices, it’s a hard wearing house, built to last, lived in and so isn't a show home with undersized furniture, but that's why guests say they love it. But the biggest bonus are the massive cost savings in comparison to the many hotels and lodges between Manchester, Preston or Leeds. Your getting the equivalent of 1 King room, 1 Double room, 1 Single room and a Double bedroom with a Triple Bunk bed, (one level is a Double). (Sleeps 8 ) Savings are between *16-63%, depending upon peak season and current capacity. (* Source Trivago 03/03/2022) Obviously there are some additional costs to consider. Eg: we don’t supply your food for your stay and just like when you hire a car, you nearly always pay for the additional fuel that you use, so the same applies here. But don’t worry, with the savings, any additional cost is easily offset, by the savings you’ve already made compared to paying just for a Hotel stay. Our competitors, (lodges & hotels), try to suggest that they are not charging for certain things, ( yeah sure they don’t!) To prove the point, ask to watch a Sky or Netflix movie and see what happens to your starting price. Our internet is lovely, quick and broadcasted to every room. We won’t start your stay with an inconvenience because there is always a starting amount of £10 energy paid for you on arrival, so the house is always fully operational when you get there. Obviously with Covid-19, there is no need to go to the shops, to top up it can be done simply via the internet. https://my.utilita.co.uk/guest Enter the postcode: BB9 9LJ And the gas or electricity card number, which are located on the notice board in the dining room. Speaking of shops.... just down the road is Asda Nelson itself, Morrisons etc and a bit further is Boundary Mill. It’s so easy to get a meal, you can just order via UBER Eats etc or cook your own in the large kitchen. The House: Built late last century, it’s survived a few owners, the swingiest of the new wave, punk rocking and an occasional rogue sheep from a nearby field. It’s often been a loving family home and has been fully refurbished more than once. Each time with more modern amenities, but not to such an extent it’s been stripped of its character. We have recently added cavity wall insulation to the exterior walls throughout the whole house to keep the heat in, it has double glazing, a fantastic panoramic view and a gas boiler for warming up the hot water tank and supplying the heating. Decorated throughout with a few modern and a lot of traditional touches. On the ground floor is a TV Lounge (Seating 6), separate Dining room Seating 6 with a French door that leads out onto the rear garden and patio area. Fully equipped Kitchen with Cooker & Hob, Kettle, Microwave, Toaster, washing machine & dryer, Fridge & Freezer. Bed Capacity: A Single Room, Double room, Triple bunk and a another large double with a King Sized bed in it. There is also a family bathroom with bath & shower. The House is tucked away, near the top of a hill, with just a short 3 min walk to Marsden Park with its breath-taking views.(see images) All the beds are supplied with one fresh linen and towel change before your arrival. You can add additional cleaning and laundry changes for longer stays, *( subject to additional charges) This spacious and comfortable detached house is ideally located for access to key facilities, for couples, families and business travellers. The house is set up for people that need to relax in a warm, cosy house, without being exposed to neighbours such as would be the case in a terraced or semi-detached property. The following entertainment is available via the internet via the living room TV.* Amazon Video, Netflix, Sky News, NowTv. If you currently subscribe to any streaming services, you can also utilise your own login or continue to use the in-house subscription. All rooms come with unlimited Wi-fi access and the Wi-fi signal is encrypted throughout the house. Charging points are situated throughout the property and supply an industry standard 5 volts/ 3.1 amp USB charge suitable for Apple and Android devices, which avoids using up all the mains sockets with chargers. The devices can rest on dedicated charging shelves so they won’t be left on the floors. Outside, in the back garden, we have a work-in-progress due to Covid restrictions we have had to postpone its landscaping until 2022. The host is available by phone, SMS, email, FaceTime and video doorbell. Most people are happy to gain access on their own via a key safe, but if you need any help we can guide you through most things via video doorbell, FaceTime etc. If you can’t do something or need further help, we can usually pop round, (within 90 minutes), but that also raises COVID-19 issues, so remotely is usually best. You should really be putting your feet up and chilling out though, shouldn’t you? The best form of transport is probably by car. There is space at the front of the house for parking a single car, one on the driveway, in the garage, or two more on the road, (see pictures). There appears to be good security as they we have never had an issue with any vehicle parked in this area as it is overlooked all the time by your living room window and all our neighbours. Nelson is an old market town, with a mixture of old and newer businesses. You can access all spaces except the caretakers cupboards, which are locked. All in all, if you want a very quiet, cosy, clean house to enjoy, it’s fantastic. *subject to availability and terms of our suppliers. Buy-in Cleaning & Laundry Services are currently suspended, as we are waiting for further updates. (Covid) Guests must do the dishes. Guests must do their personal laundry. Guests must do their own cooking. Guidance Animals are allowed, but not on the furniture and beds. Guidance Animal hairs can be vacuumed by guests with vacuum cleaner provided. Clothing must be dried/ aired in the rear garden area or the kitchen tumble dryer. Guests must use the recycling bins and if staying during a Thursday night move the wheelie bin of the week, to the roadside, for emptying Friday morning. Guests should not utilise the shower without using the shower screen Dedicated EV charging is not yet set up or included in the energy start up provision provided and is additional to cost. We don't recommended for children under 2 (No Cot facility)
