This one-bed apartment is a most excellent pied-à-terre in ‘The Ferry’- the local name for this splendid seaside suburb four miles east of Dundee. There’s a thriving high street and eclectic mix of shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby. Add in the award-winning sandy beach and picturesque harbour and you’re sure to find plenty to enjoy in this lovely part of Scotland. Free parking is available in on the street in front on a first come, first serve basis. The space This apartment sits on the first floor of a traditional stone building. The owner has combined period features, like open fireplaces and cornicing, with modern home comforts and local artwork. The lounge is bright and comfortable, and the open-plan kitchen is well-equipped with dining for 4 people. This could be an ideal rental for young families as, in addition to the double bedroom, there are two single fold out chair beds in the lounge – perfect for the kids! You are just a few minutes’ walk from the picturesque harbour and shoreline. Families love the excellent children’s playpark at nearby Castle Green and there are lots of local cycle paths too. Down near the seashore, the striking Broughty Castle is well worth a visit. Dating back to 1490 when it was built to protect the Tay estuary, it now houses a museum which explains the history of this pretty fishing village. The famous golf courses at Carnoustie and St Andrews are close by and there are other excellent courses locally for avid golfers to test their links game. The beautiful sandy beach nearby provides a haven for wildlife. Broughty Ferry train station is just minutes away.
