The three-room apartment is located inside the historic Villa Pergolana in Lazise, a nineteenth-century villa built on the structures of a Franciscan convent attached to the church of Santa Maria della Pergolana. The convent was abandoned in 1574. In 1777, Caterina Villa restored and enriched the church by commissioning the great fresco on the ceiling. In 1856, Rosanna Conati, Bartolomeo Cavazzocca’s wife, purchased the complex. Soon, important conversion works began: they demolished some buildings in front of the church and created the romantic park, designed by the architect and set designer Francesco Bagnara. Around 1870, the Veronese architect Giacomo Franco transformed the ancient convent into the manor house and the cloister became the internal courtyard of the villa. Towards the lake, the main façade has two corner towers, while southwards a porch with two arches connects the internal courtyard with the garden and the park. Between 1970 and 1980, the villa was divided into apartments. One of the strengths of the villa is certainly the position, directly on the lakeside of Lazise; from the large park, surrounded by greenery, you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets or take a regenerating walk in the shadow of the thick vegetation. The park is set up with tables, chairs, a barbecue area and a pizza oven available to all guests of the apartments. In the highest part of the park there is a large swimming pool with lake view as well as a multifunctional sports field (tennis, basketball and soccer). Near the pool, available to guests, there is a service bathroom, an area for depositing sun loungers and an area for hanging out towels. There is also a parking space for bicycles. The apartment of about 55 square meters, furnished in a classical style, has a living area with kitchenette equipped with fridge, gas stove, small dishwasher, TV. A comfortable sofa bed can accommodate up to one person. The bathroom has a toilet and sink. Upstairs, which it is possible to access via a particular staircase (not suitable for children or disabled people) has a second bathroom with shower, toilet and hairdryer. Double bedroom with large wardrobe; bedroom with two single beds with a second TV. Air conditioning and wi-fi connection at disposal. Reserved parking space. Animals are not allowed. Smoking is not allowed.
