Summary: A characterful, pet friendly cottage located in the pretty Suffolk village of Bramfield, only 15 minutes from Southwold. With off road parking and a private courtyard garden, this gorgeous holiday home comfortably accommodates up to four guests in a king bedroom and a double bedroom with a shared bathroom. The Space: Ground Floor You're welcomed into Hall Cottage through the front door into the entrance hallway with stairs ahead and a door to the right which leads to the living room and on to the kitchen/diner. Kitchen/Dining Renovated to offer guests a contemporary culinary experience in a charming cottagey environment. Appliances include an under counter oven with grill, 4 ring ceramic hob with extractor over, a free standing fridge freezer, washing/dryer and Nespresso coffee maker. There's plenty of storage in the larder which is where the washing machine can be found. Formal suppers and leisurely breakfasts can be enjoyed at the circular wooden table with 4 chairs in the dining space of the kitchen. Living room This sophisticated living room is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy a book, relax with friends and family or lose yourself in a box set on the smart TV. Charming original features include a brickwork chimney and exposed beams. The cottage has been recently fitted with a wood burning stove. There's a two seater sofa and two arm chairs. Please Note: the sofa is being replaced and new photos will be added. September 2021. First Floor Carpeted stairs with handrail rise to a very small first floor landing where there is another step up to the right to the bedrooms. King Bedroom Stylishly decorated and furnished with bold colours and soft lighting. The blue velvety king bed sits centrally against the wall, facing the original cottage sash window. There's plenty of storage in the built in wardrobe and there's a wooden vintage style desk if you need to do a spot of work during your break away. Double Bedroom Snugly located at the back of the cottage is the double bedroom with window overlooking the courtyard garden. This bedroom features a double bed and a chest of drawers for your belongings. Bathroom Conveniently positioned upstairs with the bedrooms, the bathroom has been renovated with a modern white suite. There is a dinky half bathtub with shower over, a WC and wash basin set in a useful vanity unit and a heated towel rail. Outside Through the back door from the kitchen is the pretty courtyard garden with a bench where you can catch the sun for much of the day (weather permitting) and access to the driveway through the garden gate. There is a fantastic village shop in Bramfield called Clarke's and a traditional country pub, The Queen's Head with fresh food and great ales. Other Things to Note: The stairs could be described as steep but they are original and in keeping with the style of the cottage. There is a hand rail and carpet but we ask guests to take care when using the stairs. This cottage is pet friendly and welcomes 1 well behaved dog.
