The Lemon Lodge - Ziggurat Suite

## Space The Lemon Lodge is a renovated farmhouse that is split into two unique lodgings. Surrounded by pine trees the suites have spectacular views of the valley and the food gardens. The two lodgings are inviting, comfortable yet rustic, as inspired by nature. Ziggurat is a spacious suite for two people with a private terrace that blends perfectly into the natural surroundings. The modern interior is mixed with rustic Portuguese details. The high ceiling and soft romantic colours make you feel right at home. The suite has a large bedroom with en-suite bathroom that overlooks the garden. In the living room is a fireplace with lounge and an open plan kitchen that faces the valley. As we believe the kitchen to be the heart of the house the suite comes with complimentary tea, local roasted coffee and essential kitchen herbs to enjoy your homespun meals. The suite is also provided with handcrafted biodegradable soap and shampoo that is made locally in the valley. Please note that arriving after 9PM is not possible and checkins after 6PM only in consultation with our local hosts. Side note: Televisions and air conditioning are not available, which is our way of encouraging to adapt to nature’s way. However, free WIFI is accessible when needed. Thing to do around the Lodge This part of the Algarve has in recent years emerged as a surfers and hikers haven as the stunning coastline provides world class surf and spectacular views. Hugged by Cape St Vincent Natural Park and the beautiful mountains of Monchique there is lots to explore by car, bike, horse or by foot. *The Lodge is also located next to the famous Pilgrim Rota Vincentina hiking route with the option to walk a circular route.* ## Interaction Driven by permaculture principles and a passion for living a sustainable lifestyle where nature sets the pace, four friends envisioned The Lemon Lodge. Together with our booking partners from Rental Valley we'll make sure that your holiday already starts from the first moment of contact. ## Neighborhood The Lemon Lodge is closely located to the village Aljezur which is less than a 10 min drive or 45 min by foot. The walks in this area are stunning and fortunately the lodge is situated next to the famous Pilgrim walk “Rota Vicentina” with the option for a circular route. This whole part of the Algarve has in recent years emerged as a surfers and hikers haven. Hugged by Cape St Vincent Natural Park and the beautiful mountains of Monchique there is lots to explore by car, bike, horse or by foot. ## Transit ✈︎ Faro to The Lemon Lodge, 1 hour drive ✈︎ Lisbon to The Lemon Lodge 3,5 hour drive We recommend having your own car to explore the beautiful surroundings. If you wish to discover the unbeaten tracks we suggest to rent a 4x4. Once booked we will send a clear route description on how to get here. A pick-up can be arranged at the village of Aljezur when guests arrive after sunset. ## Notes Adult Only accommodation! We ask our guests to leave their four-legged friends at home as we have Bruce, Sheppy and Lana walking around the land. Feel free to take them on a walk or let them be. Please notify us in case of allergies and we will take extra care to keep them at a distance from the Lodge. ★ We've started in May 2021 and have had amazing reviews during this first season.
