Oak End Lodge Apartment is superbly situated giving easy access to the beautiful towns, villages, countryside, historic Castles, Cathedrals, Gardens and Museums of Kent known as the Garden of England. It has excellent road, rail and air connections, to the centre of London ( ½ hour), to the coast (just I hour) and is ½ hour from Gatwick airport.   Oak End Lodge Apartment is a 2 minute drive from Knole Park which has 1000 acres of outstanding parkland and is home to the finest deer herd in the South East of England. Knole House a Tudor manor house once owned by King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth 1st is in the centre of Knole Park, and is judged to be one of the greatest National Trust properties in the country. The Sackville family have been in occupation since 1604.   Sevenoaks is a pleasant market town situated in the Weald of Kent and is an ideal base for touring the Garden of England. It is home to the Vine Cricket ground established in 1734 , one of the oldest cricket grounds in the world; some consider Sevenoaks Vine to be the home of cricket. Sevenoaks School founded in 1432, is situated at the top of the town on a 100-acre site adjoining Knole Park and is one of the country’s leading educational establishments attracting pupils from all over the world.   There are two local golf courses, Knole Park Golf Club which winds its way magically through Knole Park with stunning vistas of the Park, and of Knole House, and Wildernesse Golf club founded in 1890 and set in a beautifully wooded area.   Sevenoaks has a wealth of good restaurants and pubs where visitors can dine at a reasonable cost all within easy reach of Oak End Lodge.   Historic sites and houses abound, in addition to Knole House; there is Ightham Mote, Penshurst Place where Henry VIII stayed and Hever Castle the childhood home of Ann Boleyn, Tonbridge Castle and Chartwell the home of Sir Winston Churchill. Oak End Lodge is situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac in the former orchard of Seal Hollow House a renowned arts and crafts house. It is a tranquil location with views over an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the rear and over a sylvan wooded and park landscape to the front. The accommodation is very spacious and superbly appointed with double bedroom, generous living room/dining area with a double sofa bed and large marble tiled bathroom with bath and shower. It is ideal for two to three adults or adults with children. It is accessed by its own internal stairway and private door. ... and after a busy day you can relax in our secluded garden and terrace.
