Welcome to one of the most colorful neighborhoods in the city! This Midtown home is in the thick of it all. 3 bed/2 bath remodeled home with all the character of an 100 year old house! Property features large dining room, cozy living area, double stairway, bamboo floors throughout, huge front porch, private back deck off of a bedroom, LED lighting, & tech features you can't beat. Within 10-5 min drive to all popular locations (Westport, Plaza, Brookside, Crossroads, Power & Light...) This recently remodeled space is equipped with: - 2 Queen beds - 2 double beds - Air Mattress - Couch on main level - Cool LED Lighting in the kitchen and Living Room - Brand new Bamboo flooring throughout - Huge front porch - Private back deck off of one of the upstairs bedrooms - Parking pad next to house - Smart TV - Tankless water heater - Microwave, dishwasher, range, refrigerator - Smart Thermostat - Smart Locks - Undercabinet lighting in the kitchen - Bluetooth exhaust fan and light in the upstairs bathroom to blast music while taking a shower! - Clawfoot tub in upstairs bath - Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and living room - Framed, insulated, closed off outdoor space under downstairs bathroom - Children's games - Huge bedroom with seating area and 2 double beds - Large closets - Fenced in backyard for your furry friends (currently had a gap in fence so need to keep them on a leash when outside) - Fire pit - Custom front bench in entryway - Granite counter tops in the kitchen - Coffee maker, toaster, pots/pans, cooking supplies.... anything you need to have a meal or snack at home - Comfy living room to relax or entertain - Fresh clean towels, soaps, steamer for clothes, hair dryer etc. - Chic and Fun décor (perfect for taking instagramable photos!) - Polaroid camera with photo wall - Board and card games for all ages - FREE WIFI -Laundry Facility This space has your name written all over it! You can park on the street or on the driveway pad next to the house. Just a call, text, or airbnb message away! I am here for anything you need big or small. Midtown is an eclectic area, known for the Westport entertainment area (West side of Midtown - you are on the East side), with festive brewpubs, DJ bars and retro-chic diners serving American comfort food. During the day, the scene centers on trendy fashion boutiques (tons of vintage shops). Midtown has historic buildings like the Thomas Hart Benton Home, with tours of the painter’s studio and gardens. Trails wind through nearby Roanoke Park, encircled by bluffs. The home is on the East side of Midtown close to Hyde Park, Squire Park, and Manheim Park. All 3 are historic neighborhoods in Midtown, Kansas City. It is a primarily residential neighborhood with businesses along Troost Avenue. You are welcome to park on the street in front of the house or on the concrete parking pad next to the house. Kansas City offers multiple ride share services like Uber and Lyft, Bird scooters, RideKC, Ride KC bike and plenty others. The residence is close to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. If you need help getting anywhere let me know and I will help. The neighborhood is being revitalized so you will see newer homes and older homes. This is typical in the Kansas City City Center. This is an urban neighborhood with a lot of diversity. You are not in a suburb so be mindful of the area. Even though the home has just been remodeled it is still old! There are some sticky doors that are a part of having an older home and other imperfections that come with an 100 year old house. Bathroom on 1st floor door gets sticky. I’ve had it fixed but it’s an older door so you still might have small issues. Upstairs gets warm in the summer time. AC will work as hard as it can and I have fans for extra comfort. Absolutely no parties. If you have more guests than the reservation states you will be fined. Smoking inside is prohibited. Any evidence there will be a $200 charge. If something breaks, please notify me immediately. All items are accounted for. If something goes missing there will be additional charges incurred for replacement. Prices vary per item. Stained towels, sheets, or blankets (after being treated and/or bleached and the stain still exists) will be subject to additional charges for replacement. DO NOT move any furniture without asking me first. If you bring your furry friends and there is damage or waste is left in the yard or home an additional fee will be applied. Return the property to the state it was when you arrived. Treat the home like you would your own. Welcome to Kansas City! There might be noise and debris in the area. - Extra blankets/towels are in the closets. - Games are in the baskets underneath the coffee table. - Essentials are in bathrooms. If you need any extra let me know and it can be provided. - Air Mattress is in a closet. - There is a firepit in the backyard to use. You will have to provide your own firewood. - Please turn off all lights and lock the door when leaving the residence. - Keep the thermostat at a reasonable level. Be mindful of the energy you use! - If you have furry friends please keep them on a leash when outside so they do not run away. - Pick up after your furry friends and do not leave their waste in the yard. - If there is pet or people damage there will be an additional fee after your stay. - Do not move any furniture without asking me first. - Do not take anything off the walls. - Do not take any items from the house home with you. If any items are missing after your stay there will be an additional charge. - If you are staying during trash day please leave trash on the curb in front of the house. Trash day is Tuesday. Place items on the curb by 7am on this day or the evening before. CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS: - Check out is any time before 11am on your departure day. - Strip all linens from bed and put them in the laundry basket (one in each bedroom closet) or in the washing machine (leave decorative pillows and comforters on beds). - Remove all used towels and place them in the laundry basket or in the washing machine. - If any dishes were used wash them or load them in the dishwasher. - Bag and tie all trash (including bathrooms). If you are staying during trash day please leave trash on the curb in front of the house. Trash day is Tuesday. Place items on the curb by 7am on this day or the evening before. - Remove all food from the refrigerator. Take it with you or throw it away. - Turn off all lights. - Close all windows and make sure they are locked. - Close blinds. - Turn thermostat to 60 in the winter and 75 or off in the summer. - Put the key back in the lock box. If a key is lost there will be an additional fee. - Message me that you have checked out so preparation for the next guest can begin. Remember, this is my home so treat it like you would your own!
