In Town Wrap-Around-Walk to South Fork-Shenandoah

This Shenandoah Valley retreat is the perfect small town getaway for families to enjoy the beauty of the valley with the convenience of restaurants and stores in our beautiful small town. Walk to Karen's ice cream stand with your kids after a day of hiking or exploring the valley and caverns. Walkable to Shenandoah river adventures, ice cream, and a couple of local restaurants! 25 mins to Luray Caverns, less than five mins to River Adventures. Free wifi, fenced yard, pet friendly with fee. The Space: Guests will enter the home through the front door after walking up a small flight of stairs onto the wrap-around porch. There is seating on the front porch area, and guests will enter using a lockbox with key. After entering the home, there is a living area to the left, and a king bedroom to the right flanking the stairwell. The front hallway leads back to a full kitchen and dining room. There is a full bathroom downstairs as well as upstairs. There is a screened porch area with seating, along with a grill and fire pit. The backyard is fenced, which makes it convenient for young kids or pets to play :) The remaining bedrooms are upstairs along with the second full bathroom. The second bedroom has a king bed, the third bedroom has a queen, the fourth bedroom has a full bed, and the fifth bedroom has two twin bunk beds (4x twins). Guest Access: Guests will have full and private access to the home and yard. All cancellations due to weather are subject to our cancellation policy. There can be unpredictable winter weather in the Shenandoah Valley, which can make traversing roads and accessing homes challenging. We recommend purchasing traveler's insurance if you are concerned that your vehicle might not be able to traverse snowy roads during inclement weather and you may have to cancel. We do allow rescheduling and crediting your stay towards a future stay in lieu of a refund due to cancellation. The Neighborhood: Walkable to Karen's Frozen Favorites, Shenandoah Gift Shop, Boxcar Deli and Subs, and Mamma Mia's restaurant. The town of Shenandoah boasts a unique historic district, as well as easy access to the river and all of the hiking that the valley has to offer. Located about 25 minutes southwest of Luray Caverns. Getting Around: This a is a small-town rural area, so we recommend driving. Other Things to Note: We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 25 years of age to book. This house is right across the bridge as you get into Shenandoah. It overlooks the railroad tracks. We feel that this adds to the charm of the home, but if you are concerned about the railroad tracks or the noise, you might look elsewhere. This is a historic registry home, with all of the wonderful quirks that old homes bring. We look forward to hosting you! We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a $50 non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.
