This apartment is in the centre of Ironbridge in Shropshire and can sleep two people in one bedroom. 26A High Street is a beautifully furnished apartment situated in the heart of Ironbridge in Shropshire. The apartment consists of a king-size bedroom, a large bathroom, a sitting room and kitchen with dining area. It has no off-road parking, but there is free road-side parking in the town or car parks that charge. 26A High Street is the perfect base for a couple wanting to stay in the beautiful Shropshire town of Ironbridge. Amenities: Gas central heating with electric fire. Electric cooker and hob, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave. TV, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and high chair available. Stairgate available on request. Public parking, there is some free road-side parking available in Ironbridge and some car parks that charge. No garden. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and Pub less than a 5 minute walk. NOTE: the apartment is over 2nd and 3rd floors with stairs therefore not ideal for infirm or elderly Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England. Town: Ironbridge Gorge is known worldwide as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Today the area is far from industrial and nature has reclaimed most of the former industrial sites, leaving a unique and beautiful wooded valley. The gorge is a now a maze of cycle lanes, footpaths, bridleways and country lanes whilst the delightful village is famous for being home of the world's first iron-built bridge, built between 1777-79. The town has a splendid variety of pubs, restaurants, shops and tea rooms and a collection of ten industrial and Victorian themed museums makes up the Ironbridge Museums Trust, including the exciting Blists Hill Victorian Village.
