White Caps sits on historic and beloved Marshall Point Road in Port Clyde. This family compound overlooks both Muscongus and Penobscot Bay and provides stunning views of the islands, like Monhegan, that dot the horizon. Cherished by family for years, White Caps has a large yard, outdoor living spaces, and a main house complemented by a rustic bunkhouse. Walk to the Marshall Point lighthouse (where Tom Hanks ended his East Coast run in "Forrest Gump"), to sandy Drift Inn Beach, or into town for dinner at the end of a long day. Lovingly maintained by a dedicated caretaker, this classic Maine family summer house is comfortable, functional, and quite charming. The main house enjoys three bedrooms, one den, one bunkhouse, and one-and-a-half bathrooms. The main house has a stunning view of the ocean from both inside the property and from the two exterior decks. The first floor has a large kitchen with a dishwasher, a dining room, a living room, and an observation room at the front of the house where you can watch the waves crashing, the lobster boats hauling traps, and the sail boats gliding by. This room allows you to appreciate the view in any weather - it is fully furnished and heated. Upstairs are three bedrooms. The primary room has a queen bed and a view of the ocean. The second bedroom is at the back of the house with a queen bed and a passthrough to a third bedroom with two twins. There is one full bath with a shower/tub combo and a half bath. The bunkhouse is located between the main house and the guest house. This is a sweet, rustic little building with a set of bunk beds. Things to Know *Fires are not permitted on this property.
