This property is one of the few in Puerto Viejo that's directly on the beach! (No streets to cross...just your own beautiful garden to wander through for direct beach access!). At Villas Serenidad, you'll fall asleep and wake up to sea breezes & sounds; enjoy a practically-private beach; + still be in close proximity to the vibrant and authentic town of Puerto Viejo (we are about a 15-20 minute walk by beach or a 10 minute bike ride). We are committed to making your vacation spectacular! The entire property can sleep up to 16-18 people, for retreats, family reunions, weddings, or friend-getaways. Here is the breakdown of the rooms on the property: The Master Villa can sleep 6-8 people. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 sofa couches. There are 2 Ocean View studios that each have a king size bed and a sofa bed for 2-3 people each. There are 2 Garden View studios that each have a king size bed and can sleep 2 people each. Playa Negra, a 10-mile stretch of beach running from Puerto Viejo to Puerto Vargas in the Cahuita National Park, is largely deserted (just as it was in the 1970s!) The sea floor out in front of the cottage is all black sand (it is magnetic and said to have healing properties), and no rocks. Taxis ($4 to town), bicycles, and walking are the main options of getting around. Most tours will pick up and drop off at Villas Serenidad. The town is loaded with many delicious restaurants...you'd have to return to try them all!
