Maythorn Farm Stevington Perfect for business/family/get togethers. Londoners the countryside is just an hour away. Pets welcome, disability friendly, private quiet yet close to amenities and numerous attractions (look at our list!). Spacious open plan living. large garden, 16th century village, walking distance to fantastic pub for dining, windmill. Flexible sleeping: double, superking or singles, king or singles, 2 toddler beds or single. CURRENTLY NOT TAKING BOOKINGS VIA THIS SITE Due to the current uncertainty with Covid we feel we need to talk to guests before booking so Maythorn Farm Stevington is not taking bookings via this site. The barn is really stunning with vaulted ceilings, a stunning open plan space, great views all round and huge patio windows. High quality wifi (plus cat for e.g. business travellers) Our guests tell us they don't want to leave! Flexible sleeping, 2 singles convert to a king and 2 singles convert to a super king, can sleep 6 adults in 6 separate beds. NB loft room into the eaves has reduced headroom. Ideal for family socialising in a place that feels special - we have hosted a family treating mum with a weekend away for mothers day, a Hindu pre wedding ceremony, 21 birthday celebration, a family going to a Christening, a wedding party, a family from around the globe meeting up close to London, a family meeting for a children's birthday party, families with wheelchair users and the elderly, families in between house moves. With the big table and open plan space its perfect for crafting - we had 4 ladies treating themselves to a sewing weekend and we had filming here in Feb for a crafting program which will be on the telly. For business travellers, its a home from home with excellent facilities and very secure on parking for numerous vehicles behind security gates. Sporting groups can stay for sporting training away from home with lots of facilities and competitions in the area such as Box End Park and Keysoe Equestrian Center (we had an amazing family competing in the national athletics champs in Bedford). Pet owners save on holiday pet car by bringing your pet with you. Maythorn Farm Stevington is very suitable for people with disabilities with ground floor bedrooms, level access floors inside, fabulous large altro floor wet-room and ramps to assist access across door thresholds. We have 5 star reviews from disabled guests - get in contact for more info. Slate floors, oak windows and doors, fabulous kitchen (Neff hide & slide oven, induction hob). Minstral's gallery with seating for quite contemplation and reading, underfloor heating. We welcome business travellers and have been delighted to host several business travellers including a fantastic group of builders who have stayed with us for several months (but builders etc please note this is a high spec home so read the house rules carefully, no offence, hubby and son are builders!) Canoeing, horse riding, cycling, walking, swimming on the doorstep. Lovely walks in the North Beds Wolds including the Ouse river which is a stone's throw away and visible from the barn and private walks in 25 acre wildflower meadow on site. Easy access to London (35 min train). Huge number of local attractions on the doorstep such as Bletchley Park (Enigma and The Imitation Game) , Woburn Abbey and Safari Park, theatres at Milton Keynes and Northampton, The Stables Wavendon, Cathy Brown's gardens, Stevington Windmill, Stevington Country Walk, Silverstone, Santa Pod, Suttleworth Collection, Snozone skiing, Bodyflight, surf-rider indoor surfing, Sporting Targets clay pigeon shooting, Priory Country Park, windsurfing, jetboating, sailing, Escape Rooms, 2 cinemas in Bedford, restaurants, triathlons at Bedford, Box End Kempston and Emberton, open water swimming in the Ouse and Box End Water Park which also includes a fun inflatable park and wake boarding and Harry Potter Studios Watford. Guests have access to: large slate patio with Jamie Oliver fire pit table (for BBQ and fire pit) Pizza oven side lawned garden with coffee table seating walking paths in a private 25 acre wildflower meadow local walks over bridleways and footpaths bordering the property including a small wood and river frontage, and walk to the Stevington Windmill (which the property looks onto) Owners live in the farmhouse on site accessed via a separate gateway. We are available for support, advice and caretaking. The farmhouse does not overlook the Barn but is close enough to ensure that the Barn is secure and does not feel remote. The location is the North Beds Wolds, and the Great Ouse Valley, Bunyan Country. The countryside undulating and very pleasant 'middle England'. Centre Parcs chose to base themselves a few miles away for a good reason, stay with us for a personalised version of Centre Parcs! There is a very wide range of outdoor activities withing 20 mins such as clay pigeon shooting, riding, walking, swimming, cycling (north beds has the most miles of bridleways per square mile of any county in the UK), open water swimming, wakeboarding, sailing, rowing, Woburn safari and house, Bletchley Park (The Imitation Game). We are a sensible driving distance from London and have a fast service to London by train, and are close the M1 and A1 for easy travel to all points of the compass. Bedford has 3 swimming pools, a beautiful river frontage and history, 2 cinemas and lots of dining, market town shopping with free parking. Olney is a quaint local market town with a fantastic market and unique shopping. The city of Milton Keynes is 20 minutes by car and has fantastic facilities including shopping, Snozone, cinemas and theatre. Just up the A1 is the Harry Potter studio. There is a bus just outside the gate. 10 mins to the train station by car 20 mins to Milton Keynes About an hour to Oxford and Cambridge The Barn is set in a smallholding with horses. It is private and quite. Very secure parking for several vehicles.
