The Space: This spacious, fully furnished cottage is located in the heart of downtown Jacksonville. There are beautiful wood floors throughout. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances including an induction cooktop. You will also have dishes, pots & pans, silver ware and cooking utensils. The bathroom has a shower and the flat screen TV includes Cable and WIFI. There are built-ins for extra storage. Large bright windows with stain glass accent bring in natural light. There is also an on site washer and dryer for your convenience. French doors lead out to a covered deck where you can appreciate landscaped gardens . The patio provides a table and chairs and BBQ. Jacksonville offers a variety of restaurants and Holiday experiences. Take a horse drawn wagon ride at Christmas, listen to live music in the trees during the Britt Festival, go for wine tours in a luxury van, drive out to the Applegate to fish, experience the lively Chinese New Year parade. Skiing at Mt. Ashland is just a scenic drive away. Southern Oregon is also paddle board and kayaking country if you're so inclined. The crystal clear waters will amaze you! If you feel like exploring further out into the Applegate countryside, you will discover Applegate Lake where swimming, fishing and paddling is enjoyed by families year around. Getting Around: The Medford International Airport is located a short drive away from Jacksonville. Cab service is available in Jacksonville as well as Trolleys, Segways, and Wine Tour vans. Other Things to Note: Jacksonville was founded following discovery of gold deposits in 1851–1852. Jacksonville was home to the first Chinatown in Oregon, founded by immigrants from San Francisco. The town celebrates Chinese New Year with festive activities. The restaurants in Jacksonville are popular with the locals for handcrafted food and drinks.
