The living room at The Baron’s Wing is fit for a queen. This spacious area has two comfy sofas and two armchairs in the main space, and you will also find various other seating places around the room. You will also find a flat-screen TV which is available for your use. The kitchen is the hub of the home. This traditional room has everything you need to make the most of your self-catering stay with cookware, a dishwasher, a fridge-freezer, a kettle, kitchenware and a microwave, as well as an oven with hobs. Three of The Baron’s Wings’ five bedrooms can be found on the third floor of the property. You will find two king-size four-poster beds, as well as a brass bed which is also a king. Head to the fourth floor and you’ll find the other two bedrooms at The Baron’s Wing. There are yet another two king-size beds to provide the perfect night’s sleep for you and your guests. All beds at the property are made up with premium bed linens to ensure a quality stay. Guests will also find two bathrooms at The Baron’s Wing. Both have bathtubs with overhead showers, wash basins and WC’s. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full property. The keys for The Baron’s Wing can be collected from the reception desk at Appleby Castle. There is plenty of free on-site parking for all guests staying at the property. The Neighborhood: Located in the heart of Appleby-in-Westmorland, The Baron’s Wing at Appleby Castle is perfectly located for exploring the tranquil local area. The history theme continues as you wander through the village. The village has a number of shops run by local people. If cheese is your thing, visit the Appleby Creamery which produces a variety of premium and hand-made cheeses. You’ll also find other private businesses including butchers, grocers, bakers and newsagents. Head either way out of the village and you’ll easily be able to access walks which will take you through stunning scenery. Getting Around: Appleby-in-Westmorland is on the scenic Settle-Carlisle line. You will be able to travel directly to a number of locations including Carlisle, Leeds, Settle and Skipton. There are several bus routes that run through Appleby-in-Westmorland. You will be able to board services to Penrith, as well as stopping off at a number of villages throughout the Yorkshire Dales.
