The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything Pittsburgh has to offer from this centrally located victorian home. Steps away from a variety of restaurants including LeMont, plus a short walk to the best view of the city. Also boasting skyline views from each floor, the home is a 5 minute drive/Uber ride to downtown, or you can take an incline down to the trolley station which travels throughout the city including to the North Shore where the stadiums and casino are located. **Due to a couple guests not following house rules in the past, I need to make it clear The Meridan Inn does not allow throwing parties. Additional guests not included in the booking must be approved by me. 7 People maximum in the house at all times. No pets** Arriving at this historic 1910 victorian, you will overlook the city and truly appreciate the home's astounding architecture as the front porch with a table and four comfortable chairs invites you in. The entry way is fit with a bench and a clothes tree. Continue straight down the hall towards the kitchen with a closet on the right or make an immediate right into the living room. The living room has ample seating with a high-grade matching couch and chair and a loveseat. There is an additional padded wooden chair and folding chairs for even more seating. A new 50" Samsung Smart TV featuring many channels is mounted to the wall. Use the decorative ceiling fan or the crackling electric fireplace to set the mood no matter the temperature outside. In the living room, you will also find a variety of popular board/card games for kids to adults and for two people to larger groups. A large white arch leads into the dining room containing a stunning heavy wood table and 6 matching chairs, plus a high table with 2 stools located near a window with patio view. The dining room also leads to the kitchen where you will find all the tools and utensils needed to make a master meal and a large refrigerator with an automatic ice maker in the freezer. Pour yourself a cup of coffee with the complimentary coffee grounds and drip coffee pot. A door from the kitchen leads to the back patio containing a 10'x10' gazebo with outdoor furniture for enjoying fresh air during the warmer months. Head back inside through the kitchen toward the entryway and up the stairs, and you will find three unique bedrooms on the second floor and one full bathroom. Here you will find a bedroom with one full bed, a bedroom with two full beds and a ceiling fan, and a bedroom with a queen bed and a ceiling fan. The queen bedroom features a 40" Samsung Smart TV (with many channels like the living room TV). Not only that, but you can open the blinds in this queen room for a view overlooking the downtown skyline with gentle city lights from tall buildings while you sleep. Head to the third floor and you will find a large bedroom with a king bed, a large walk-in closet, and a Lovesac Citysac you can relax in while enjoying more views of the city skyline from the highest point in the house. The home's decor such as the unique fixtures, quality wood furniture, and stained glass lamps match the traditional victorian style, while there are a few modern updates here and there. Plus, interesting wall decor pieces celebrating Pittsburgh and its culture are spread throughout the house. The Meridan Inn features free on street parking. Mt Washington is a safe and very walkable neighborhood with a variety of nearby restaurants that overlook the city. On nearby Shiloh Street, there are more restaurants, bars, a bakery, a coffee shop, an ice cream parlor and a grocery store. Check yourself in with the keypad on the front door. I will send you an access code a couple of days before your first night stay. Also note the beginning of the street where the house is located is a one-way which may be confusing to new visitors because the street is pretty wide. Make a turn on the next street up to access the home. There are 2 security cameras on the outside of the property (although it is a very safe neighborhood). One is in the front of the house facing towards the street and entrance and the other is in the back of the house facing towards the back entrance. There are absolutely no video and/or recording devices located inside the home.
