Minutes to LECOM Park where you can catch the Pittsburgh Pirates Spring Training, Farmers Market on Saturdays (Fall-Spring), the Riverwalk and the South Florida Museum. Enjoy the holiday Fireworks from the comfort of your own deck! Beach lovers are only a short drive to beautiful Anna Maria Island. Upon entry you will feel the warm welcome with stunning hardwood floors, historical local photos, and nautical touches throughout. With plenty of room to spread out, guest will especially love the outdoor deck lined with lights and plenty of seating for all to gather for a family dinner. The Master bedroom is cozy with antique furniture and large Master bathroom. Kids will have fun in the bunk room! Guest can enjoy morning coffee around the kitchen table. Waypoint is a special treat, you will feel the vibes when you arrive. A Note from the owner: We don’t know much about the previous owners but not long after we bought the house in 2010 a lady stopped by and told us that she grew up in this house with her Grandparents and that a beautiful Victorian house once stood across the street (the current location of the Public Library) where a Captain lived, that was the Stanton house (we have a picture in our hallway). We recently found a picture of a small cottage that once sat on the land just East of where the house sits (in our side yard). We purchased the house in 2010 and the empty lot (where the small cottage once stood) a year or so later. We have completely renovated the house as well as adding on an addition in 2012. The addition added on the back portion of the house- two bedrooms, one bath and laundry room. The downstairs gained a large workshop for our business. A few years later we added on the large side deck. We removed the old, non working fireplace that was in the center of the house and went from downstairs up through the kitchen to the attic. We used the bricks from the old fireplace to make a walkway out front, firepit patio and fire place as well as an accent wall in the kitchen. We love the look of the old original bricks! We operate our marine service business from downstairs and really enjoy living downtown.
