Coniston Water and Windermere are both within 14 miles and the Aquarium of the Lakes and the Haverthwaite Steam Railway are also nearby. The lovely Duddon Valley makes an excellent day out, as does Muncaster Castle and gardens and with fishing and golf nearby there is something to keep everyone entertained. Shop and pub 1½ miles.
