This bike path will take you to historic downtown Seward and the Alaska Sealife Center or to Seward’s Small Boat Harbor, 10 minutes walking either direction. We offer a cozy downstairs unit called the “Mt. Marathon Suite” that is attached to the main house, the “Mt. Alice Suites”. This space is extremely clean and the private entrance is around the backside of the house facing Mt. Marathon, that includes a yard with a deck, and two parking spaces. This lower-level suite is a two-bedroom unit that offers all new furniture throughout with queen size beds in both bedrooms with blackout shades for a good night’s sleep. The views of Mt. Alice from the bedrooms will take your breath away. It also includes a comfortable living area with a "Trundle style" pull-out couch for extra guests (perfect for kids), a flat screen Smart TV (no cable) with DVD player, Wi-Fi, a full bath with shower/tub, a small efficiency kitchen that is fully equipped for a quick weekend getaway or a month-long rental. (This rental sleeps 4 comfortably, but sleeps 6 with the "Trundle couch" - truly recommended for kids! The trundle couch is much more comfortable than the traditional type with the metal cross bar.) *Please note that the front yard, back yard, grill, and patio is shared among the Mt. Alice Suite guests and the Mt. Marathon Suite guests. You will love the coziness, the beautiful views of Mt. Marathon/Mt. Alice, and the proximity to fishing, wild life tours, kayaking/ice climbing tours, renown Iditarod Dog Sled Team tours, horseback riding, hiking trails, local shops, and restaurants. Bask in the sun on our quaint deck in the backyard that offers beautiful views of Mt. Marathon, barbecue your fresh catch, enjoy the fire pit, and an outdoor seating area. The Community Closet was created for your use. It is to be used for the Mt. Alice and the Mt. Marathon Suites. This is complimentary for your use with a wide range of games, puzzles, & small kitchen appliances, iron, ironing board, fan... If you decide to use these complementary items, please return for others to use later. ***If you are walking around town, you are more than welcome to use the side gate to get to the waterfront and/or house. That is located along the carport side of the house, near the oil tank and trash cans. The black house is NOT my property. That is my neighbor's property. I like my neighbor and I want her to continue to like us. Please show her respect. I would like for my house guests to use the correct gate so that we are not trespassing on private property.
