Fernglen Forest Retreat is set on 7 acres of lush green native bush with a lovely river, tree ferns and towering mountain ash. Winding down the driveway you’re transported into an idyllic forest paradise. If you’re wanting peace and quiet this retreat is for you. Fernglen Forest Retreat is located only 2 blocks from Tatra wedding receptions. It’s also within a short drive to other wedding venues such as SkyHigh, Poets Lane, Lyrebird Falls, Nathania Springs, and Mist to name a few. This makes our accommodation perfect for wedding groups, as well as families and couples. We have altogether 3 private cottages to choose from. Many brides take advantage of the stunning native grounds, with towering mountain ash as a backdrop for their photos. All cottages have free wifi available, and all have open fires with an unlimited wood supply Jacuzzi Lodge - self-contained. One king sized bedroom and second bedroom with bunk bed. Comes with luxury 8 seater outdoor spa and BBQ. Brook Cottage - fully self-contained. One king sized bedroom plus a second bedroom with bunk beds. Spa Cottage - self contained. Queen size bedroom, pull out sofa bed in lounge. Includes corner spa and outdoor BBQ. (Temporarily Closed ) All cottages have their own kitchen, dining, lounge, bathrooms and cosy fireplace, parking and tranquil forest views from every window. The cottages are located in a idyllic, private and serene forest environment with it's own river and fully immersed within ferns and towering mountain ash. The Mt Dandenong and Olinda shops are only 2 kilometres away. Whilst on the mountain enjoy the many famous Restaurants, Gardens, Walking Tracks, Art Centers, etc. The Cuckoo Restaurant. (Furniture is currently being renewed and may therefore differ slightly during your stay from the photos) COVID CANCELLATIONS In the case of a Covid shut down guess will be given the option to reschedule an equivalent stay at a future date this will be at the same price with no penalties should I reschedule be impossible a full refund will be given. COVID SAFTEY At Fernglen Forest retreat we adhere to the Government Covid safety requirements. CHECK IN All guests are required to check in with the QR code which can be found on the wall as you enter the cottages. Please also fill in the Attendance Register which will be found in the folder on the coffee table . VACCINATION If your vaccination status is not on your Service Victoria app please provide a copy via Arrival Information Form which will be emailed to you after booking or at arrival. COVID SAFETY PLAN Our Covid safety plan will be found in the folder on the coffee table or can be viewed here ( link to safety plan) CLEANING At Fernglen Retreat we adhere to the Strictest enchanted cleaning practices. Thorough cleaning and disinfecting takes place after each guest leaves, including all frequently touched surfaces e.g. doorknobs, counters, handrails, showers, baths, toilet etc. Also all bedding, towels etc are changed and professionally laundered and disinfected at above 40°C temperature. PETS Your pets are welcome. Please refer to the Pet policy which will be sent to you after your booking. We charge a $100 bond which is fully refundable. We also charge $25 a day for pets to stay. You can pay these via the bank details below. Name of account : FGFR Pty Ltd BSB : 633 000 Acc No : 183 901 800 EVENTS/ HIRE GROUNDS We are happy to host outdoor events including wedding dinners or lunches, parties etc. Outdoor furniture is not provides and will need to be hired at the guest expense. We charge $500 a day to use the grounds for groups of up to 20. Groups over that is $700 per day. We do have a limit to the size of groups as we do not have space for groups over 30. Our charge is in order for us to protect and maintain the environment. If you’d like to book a group gathering you can pay for that through our bank. Details are below.
