Le Grenier is a spacious two bedroom gite which sleeps 7 guests. It has it's own private fishing lake. There are three other gites on the site to accommodate a total of 18 people making it ideal for family groups holidaying together. Le Grenier has 3 bedrooms, main bedroom has a king size bed, with memory foam mattress, and traditional furniture. Bedroom 2 is downstairs with its own en-suite bathroom. Bedroom 3 has 3 single beds. Le Grenier is the largest gite and boasts many original features, including high vaulted ceilings and original exposed beams. The modern, fully fitted kitchen has all you need for a self-catering holiday. Equipment includes an integrated fridge freezer, electric oven and gas hob, with extractor, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and dishwasher. The washing machine is in a shared utility room adjacent to the gite. The living room is comfortably furnished with a 6 seater settee, 2 piece suite, coffee table, satellite TV with your favourite UK programmes. French channels also available. DVD player and CD music player is integral. Dining room table with room for 10 diners are included in the spacious open plan area. The bathroom is fitted out to a high standard with a luxury shower cabin and heated towel rail included. Fitted carpets throughout add to your comfort. Bed linen and personal towels are supplied but you will need your own pool towels. The private patio has outdoor table and chairs where you can enjoy alfresco dining amidst the beautiful countryside and our private gardens. There is a stone built BBQ. SHARED AMENITIES AND LOCAL AREA DESCRIPTIONS: Fishing in the private lake is included in the price. Beautiful views of the lake and surrounding countryside are seen from the living room French windows. The shared pool is heated June, July and August. Boules court and lots of safe areas to play in, complete our expansive outside space. Sun-loungers supplied. The owners are constantly striving to improve facilities to enhance guests holiday experience. Recent additions include: A Swedish wood-fired hot tub which can be rented per week at the cost of 75€. This needs to be booked 24 hours in advance. Games room with Pool, Table Football, Dartboard and TV and music. Also a separate Toddlers' area. All 4 Gites can be rented as an exclusive booking, (please see separate listings or enquire!) Set in magnificent landscaped grounds stretching for over seven acres Moulin le Ponto has its own private spring-fed lake the size of a football pitch, so if you so desire you can fish for tench, roach, rudd, bream, perch, trout and carp (up to 19lbs!). Fishing gear for hire with bait and the chance to have fishing lessons for those beginners. LOCAL AREA: The village of Le Sourn is approximately 1km from the property. It has a a few small shops, including a boulangerie, butcher and pharmacy. There is also a bar. Just a 10 minute drive away from Moulin le Ponto is the town of Pontivy. This bustling market town has numerous restaurants and cafés as well as three or four large supermarkets. There is a golf course nearby. Approximately 45 minutes away is the beautiful southern Brittany coast. Here you can enjoy fresh, locally caught seafood at one of the many harbourside restaurants in the area. Also within easy reach of Le Sourn is the walled medieval city of Vannes. Well worth a visit to see the many historic buildings or just a bit of retail therapy in the elegant shops! The nearby Nantes-Brest canal offers miles of beautiful canalside walking or cycling. THE BRITTANY REGION Moulin le Ponto is in the Department of Morbihan in the beautiful region of Brittany in northern France. Brittany is easily accessible from the UK via several Ferry Ports and is also served by flights from the UK to 4 French airports. From spectacular beaches with rugged coastlines to vast sandy expanses, to peaceful woods and forests and the famous Nantes-Brest Canal, Brittany has all the makings of a perfect holiday. The cuisine in the area includes crepes and galettes and of course the seafood! Mussels and oysters are available throughout the region, particularly in the summer months. Cider is produced here and local varieties are available in all supermarkets and restaurants. During the summer numerous villages and town celebrate the "Pardon" which is predominantly a religious thanksgiving but is always followed by a celebratory meal (with a drink or two!) and Breton dancing.
