Beautifully located near the very end of coveted Stones Point Road, The Beehive is pure and simple with views of Muscongus Bay from virtually every window. What began in 1953 as a family campsite has evolved into today’s elegant seaside cottage. The Beehive is currently under third-generation ownership, providing guests with a serene setting and comfortable hospitality. Sip your morning coffee as you watch the lobster boats head out from nearby Cushing Harbor, catch afternoon glimpses of the neighborhood bald eagle, and punctuate your evenings with lobster bakes and stories around the firepit as the stars fill the clear sky. The Beehive is a place for quiet reflection or to use as a home base while exploring the busier areas of coastal Maine. It's close enough to popular harbor towns for activities, yet far away enough to allow you to enjoy the peace of the tide coming in and out of the little harbor. Admire views of the ocean from the moment you walk in the door. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a farm-style sink, and granite countertops that are spacious enough to prepare meals or set out light bites in the afternoon. The living room offers plush seating for movie time on rainy days; there are also floor pillows and blankets to go along with the board games and small library in the sitting room. The cable TV is equipped to stream movies and play your favorite music from your mobile device. And of course, there's free WiFi throughout the cottage and grounds - but this is also a perfect time to disconnect from the everyday. The primary bedroom has such thoughtful features as darkening privacy shades, reading lamps, USB outlets for charging your devices, another TV with the same features as the living room TV, and an alarm clock equipped with an AUX cord for listening to music from your mobile device. The porch can be accessed from the bedroom and the dining room. Outside you'll find two rocking chairs, a railing with enough space to set your coffee cup or glass of wine, and an uncovered stone patio area with an outdoor dining area. The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out.
