Nestling in the valley fold, on the edge of Holyford Woods, Holyford Farm Cottages (29852 and 29853) boast a peaceful position within the grounds of the owners’ Grade II listed farmhouse. Crispin Cottage (ref 29852) occupies the East wing of the owners’ home, which is the oldest part of the property, dating back to the late 15th century; the oak panelling, exposed beams and the mullion window are just some of the medieval features that remain, making Crispin Cottage stand out from the crowd. Standing proudly opposite the farmhouse is The Stables (ref 29853), which forms the majority of a converted Victorian coach house. Both of these unique properties will provide you and your family with a special place to stay whilst you uncover the beauty of Devon’s surrounding coast. Whether you are looking for countryside or coastline, Holyford Farm Cottages have both at their disposal - you’ll be spoilt for choice. The historic town of Colyton, with the River Coly flowing through it, is only a short distance away. You will find a variety of local shops, tea rooms and pubs, all offering fine food. Also within reach are Seaton’s Tramway, the fishing village of Beer, with its famous caves, the beach at Branscombe, the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth and Crealy Adventure Park. River Cottage HQ and its cafe in Axminster are both only 6 miles away, as is the seaside resort of Lyme Regis, with its famous Cobb harbour. It has an area of sandy beach and offers a variety of water sports, as well as a large number of restaurants, tea rooms, pubs and exclusive gift shops. Failing all of that, the city of Exeter is just over 20 miles away, where you can enjoy some city life if all of the peace gets too much for you. However you decide to make your memories, Holyford Farm Cottages will be ready to make you feel at home during your Devon holiday. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile. Free WiFi For both properties at Holyford Farm - Please note, properties are non-smoking. There is a stream in the grounds, approx 20-30m away. Initial fuel is provided for the woodburning stove. For property 29853 - The Stables only - Fairly steep stairs with handrail to the first floor, extra care may be needed with young children and the less mobile. One of the double bedrooms has a single bed for alternative sleeping. Parking for 2 cars.
