Summary: Escape to the Rockies in this new townhouse in Clear Creek County. This is the best in mountain living, with two queen bedrooms and all the comforts of home. When you’re not out exploring, you can kick back in front of the TV, whip up a meal in the kitchen, or take in some natural beauty. Georgetown Lake, Scenic Guanella Pass, and Cabin Creek Brewing are just a few of the delights right outside your door. An hour from skiing at Breck & Copper Mtn and 1.5 hours from Rocky Mountain Nat’l Park! The Space: Locals know that Bighorn Crossing is the latest and greatest home base for exploring the Rockies. There is room for everyone and thoughtful touches for every travel style in this two story, two bedroom, two bathroom retreat. Head up to Guanella Pass to see the aspens turn golden or bag a 14er. Stroll next door to Cabin Creek Brewing for a tasty microbrew. And get ready to shred at one of the many world-class ski resorts less than an hour away. We are happy to provide private and secure garage parking during your stay. The home has been hand designed and decorated with contemporary mountain living in mind. Downstairs is dedicated to a roomy, relaxed living space including a lounging area and a gleaming, fully equipped kitchen. From your first step inside, you will be surrounded by an open floor plan, wood floors, and unique furnishings. The sleek, modern kitchen is complemented by whimsical throw pillows and geometric accents. An inspiring call to “adventure” hangs above the sofa, tempting you outside. Enjoy the use of the large refrigerator, oven, range, microwave, and dishwasher during your stay. Or order takeout from one of Georgetown’s tasty dining establishments! Savor your coffee at the kitchen bar seating, or step outside to bask in the Colorado sunshine. Georgetown is famous for its wildlife, especially bighorn sheep and a variety of bird species. After a busy day of outdoor activities, you will love coming home to plush queen beds in each of the two bedrooms, nicknamed the “Buffalo Room” and “Deer Room” -- check out the photos to see why! Brightly lit by windows and decorated with rustic elegance, the sleeping sanctuaries are designed for comfort and relaxation. Feel free to pack light and make use of the upstairs washer and dryer. This home is perfect for groups and families, and with two bathrooms, everyone is guaranteed their own space and privacy. You definitely need to peruse the photos of this amazing space to appreciate its charm and beauty! Stay for the night, the week, or longer! We love to accommodate extended stays. This space is Colorado personified and distilled into one luxurious, cute package with all the bells and whistles. Book with confidence today! ***Why Choose An STR Over A Hotel?*** Cleanliness, Privacy, and Personal Service. We have augmented our already industry-leading cleaning and disinfecting protocol in order to put our guests at ease. You’ll have your own space to unwind, unplug and escape the news of the day. We have outfitted our cleaning crews with EPA recommended household disinfectants to prevent the spreading of viruses and bacteria. Guest Access: **Hot tub and Pool is located in the Wyndham Microtel, walking distance to the condo. ** The Neighborhood: Once the third-largest town in Colorado, Georgetown is now home to slightly more than 1,000 residents. But on weekends, it welcomes visitors who want to shop, sightsee, have lunch or spend the night at beautiful Bighorn Crossing. If you want to conquer one of Colorado’s legendary fourteeners, just drive up the Guanella Pass Scenic Byway. At 14,065 feet above sea level, Mount Bierstadt will offer you the view of a lifetime. Backcountry ponds, streams, snowshoeing, and even skiing at the long-closed Geneva Basin are all waiting for you just up over the hill. If you want to stay within the civilized confines of Georgetown, the Georgetown Loop Railroad, shopping, art galleries, walking tours, fishing, mine tours, and fine dining are all within easy reach. Our home is a 5 minute walk to Cabin Creek Brewing. Everyone raves about their food and drinks! There is world class fishing right outside the back door of our home. Head to the lake for some kayaking, paddle boarding, and canoeing. White water rafting and ziplining is right down the street. Enjoy off-roading, AT's and mountain biking trails within minutes of the home. Looking for a challenge? You can set your sights on a few beginner-friendly 14ers – Mount Bierstadt, as well as the popular Grays Peak/Torreys Combo – during your stay. Mount Evans, a peak-bagging classic, is also nearby. Rafting, fishing, mountain biking and kayaking are also popular activities in the region. Long story short? Georgetown has something for everyone, making it the perfect home base for your Rocky Mountain adventure. Breckenridge and Copper Mountain are 40 minutes away. Black Hawk and Central City casinos are 30 minutes away. Dillon Reservoir is 30 minutes away. Rocky Mountain National Park is 1.5 hours away. Denver International Airport is 1 hour away. Getting Around: The easiest way to navigate Colorado’s mountain towns and ski resorts is by car. We suggest that you not rely on ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft, as they are sparse and unreliable in our area. One alternative is the Peak 1 Express, which bills itself as the best shuttle to the Rockies. They can get you to Breck, Vail, Beaver Creek and Keystone and also offer daily service to Summit County and Vail in their Mercedes Sprinters & SUVs. Other Things to Note: This is a privately owned home operated by the local professionals at Highline Management. Check our next-door neighbor, Cabin Creek Brewing, for a refreshing drink! No smoking or vaping inside. Although we appreciate that some guests may wish to indulge in Colorado’s herbal offerings, you must do so outside. Please be safe and courteous. Note that there is no A/C in the townhome. This is normal for homes at 8530' elevation. Open the windows and enjoy the fresh breeze, even in the middle of the summer! Sorry, we do not allow furry friends of any kind. Please park in the garage or utilize the street parking. Do not block driveways to other units. No parties.
