Are you looking for R & R away from home? Having trouble finding a “fun for ALL ages” place where you can easily interact only with your group? Is this amazing lake house the one for you? Do you like hustle & bustle, roller coasters, designer shopping and dancing all night at the local disco? Then no, you better keep looking. Do you crave a place to kayak, canoe, hike, bike and golf right outside your back door? Then look no further - you have found the perfect secluded cove vacation spot. The space Put away those screens and spend time with friends and family outside on the lake, hike in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains, or play basketball, tennis & golf just minutes away inside the neighborhood. Our home has a fully stocked kitchen for cooking and enjoying big group meals. Rainy day? No problem - stay inside playing our favorite board and card games, ping pong, foosball and darts. Note: We do have a flatscreen in the house but we are happy to remove it during your stay. Many people have mentioned that the best part of their vacation was no TV! Guest access Feel free to use our 4 kayaks, 2 stand up paddle boards, 1 canoe (holds 2-3 people), 1-2 pontoon bikes (these are super fun), and 4-5 fishing rods,. All of these can be easily launched from our shallow water dock on our cozy cove at the top of a beautiful 540 acre lake. In addition, please use our sparkling clean hot tub with beautiful lake view! Neighborhood rules do not allow guests to bring their own boats of any form onto the lake. It is a private lake so only boats registered with Lake Arrowhead are allowed. This is good news for you - the lake feels very peaceful and secluded! If you look on the Lake Arrowhead Club, Ga website you can easily book a golf tee time or if you have a boat license you can reserve a rental pontoon or a sail boat for an hour, a day or a week (fee based on season). You can also feel free to use the sand volleyball pit and basketball court In the park in our neighborhood about four minute drive from our house. Note: year round our dock is great for fishing, launching kayaks, canoe, paddle boards, hydro bikes but it is a shallow cove so in summer it’s not deep enough for swimming off of. You can paddle out 10 feet though and swim, float, relax all day! Our favorite thing to do is to paddle to one of the many coves that have no homes on them - tie up kayaks and picnic (we have coolers you are welcome to use) on the shore or just swim and float in peace and quiet. Other things to note This is a unique place to be peaceful with nature and to stargaze at night. These things are only possible in a rural setting so be sure to note that our wonderful Publix grocery store is about 20 minutes away and cell phone/wi-fi service is good at the house but can be spotty in parts of the lake. Canton, Cartersville & Jasper are each less than 30 minutes away and offer many shopping, eating and entertainment opportunities. We have a Smart TV for Netflix, Hulu, Prime etc but no cable service. ***This is a great place for older children with so many fun activities right outside the door. Toddlers are of course welcome but PLEASE be aware that the hottub and lake are right outside the backdoor so non-swimmers will need to be constantly monitored. **** We have standard-sized adult and child life jackets - if you have an infant or extra-large or small people please bring appropriate life vests. Note: This is a gated private lake so everyone must check in with security upon arrival. A valid ID is required for everyone over 18 in your group. HOA bylaws allow for only your 10 people max group to be inside or outside of house at all times.
