Hiking trails on the property are perfect for morning walks or jogs along 300 year old rock walls and a canopy of oaks and maples, birdwatching or sit out on the private deck that overlooks the hundred year old garden. The home is stocked with a picnic basket, cooler, beach chairs and other essentials guests may need to plan a day exploring. The area offers a range of seasonal activities from wineries, cider mills, antiquing, U-pick it farms, markets, dining, sailing, museum going, beach and strolls in surrounding town centers like Mystic, Norwich, East Lyme, Essex and Westerly. Evenings sit by the firepit to toast marshmallows and catch some fireflies or head out to enjoy the nightlife which includes some of the finest dining around, Foxwoods casino and breweries. Return to the 100 Acre Wood Guest House which is beautifully appointed with all of the creature comforts of home. The master bedroom is a cozy tree-top space with a king sized bed featuring a Casper mattress and down or down alternative comforter, the master bedroom also features a Nespresso bar and two cozy high back chairs so guests can enjoy a morning coffee without leaving their room. The art loft-style second bedroom features a queen sized bed and crafting space to inspire the artist within, including a portable easel and watercolors for those who'd like to venture outdoors to paint "En plein air".
