Rose Lodge is a bright and spacious property set in the grounds of the owners' house next door but with your own private entrance and outside space. The modern decor and tasteful furnishings create a lovely environment with large windows, wood flooring and quality fittings. There is a south facing patio garden with views across the owners' land towards a tranquil pond. The perfect venue, in this peaceful corner of Cornwall, for exploring the delights of Mounts Bay and the Lizard peninsula. Rose Lodge is situated just outside the quiet hamlet of Godolphin Cross and is a couple of miles inland from some of the south coast's best beaches. Praa Sands is south facing, sandy and has lifeguard cover during the season. It can have quite large waves and is frequented by surfers when the conditions are right. The main Helston - Penzance road provides good access to all modern amenities and tourist attractions from St Michael's Mount to Flambards with a wealth of pretty little bays, promontories and traditional fishing villages. Accommodation Ground Floor: Enters into the kitchen area of a spacious open plan ground floor with fully fitted units and appliances. Further in is a bright, airy, double aspect, living / dining area with comfortable sofas, dining table and chairs and large flatscreen TV. Door to large family shower room with walk in shower, WC and hand basin Stairs leading to: First Floor: The stairs open on to a small landing area that has doors leading to the two bedrooms; Master bedroom has a 5' double bed, storage and dormer window with rural views. Second bedroom with twin 3' beds, storage and a dormer window with rural views. Exterior: There is parking on the drive for 2 cars in front of the property. To the rear is a small patio garden with table and chairs, bench, charcoal barbecue, and drying line. The garden is fenced but is not completely secure. Facilities & Services There is an electric heating system with thermostatically controlled radiators throughout. The kitchen has a range of cupboards & work tops. There is an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge & freezer. There is a washing machine. (Drying line in the garden) The sitting room has a digital TV & Bluray DVD player. There is a sound dock. There is an iron & ironing board, a hair dryer. There is unlimited WiFi. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is parking available for 2 cars on the drive. Regrettably there is no smoking. There is a cot and high chair, available upon request. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally a Saturday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £200 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
