If you can bring yourself to leave the lodge and site, a mere 5-minute drive will take you to the fabulous, Grade I listed Samlesbury Hall, a stunning stately home and restaurant. Hoghton Tower is a local historical visitor attraction worth a visit, and the Wildlife Trust’s Brockholes Nature Reserve can be reached in just 5 minutes, providing 250 acres of natural beauty together with an iconic floating visitor village to explore. The location just off the M6 motorway means easy access to Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool and the Lake District National Park all in under an hour. Finally, the glorious, unspoilt landscapes of the Ribble Valley, including the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are on your doorstep. Beach 24 miles.
