This somewhat isolated and tranquil destination can offer you a relaxing break, where you can take a stroll and watch birds, beavers, otters and other animals along the Mura’s wetlands. Many biking trails lead along this slow flowing river. Life here traditionally was heavily influenced by Mura river. Although today there are hardly any traditional on-river mills left, the stories about the river, its mythical creatures and millers’ lives are still alive in oral tradition. Mura is also a gold bearing river, but today this slow and meticulous process is left to local enthusiast who are keeping this tradition alive. A car or a bike is a necessity.
