" At Home" Apartment with a dream view over the sea and the islands is the right thing for an individual vacation in top location and close to the beach. You stay apart in a beautiful owner complex with your private entrance and your own parking space (free of charge). But just a few steps to the street and you are right in the middle of the action : 2 bakeries/cafes directly in front of you, bus stop and pilgrim`s office opposite, approx. 100m to the sea and 250m to the next organized beach ~100m to the beginning of the pedestrian zone with restaurants, bars, shops, boat rental , ~400m to the harbour (boat trips). From the back side your home can be reached at ground level via a dirt road and from there hiking trails are leading to the wonderful nature. Your home has balcony with awning, mosquito nets, A/C, heating, WiFi, safebox, Sat-TV. Kitchen (with oven , kettle, toaster, coffee machine, refrigerator with frozer )bedroom and living room with sofa bed ( for 3rd person and 1 child or for 2 children) are separated visually. Bathroom with bathtub, hairdryer and washing machine. Bed linen, towels and beach-towels are provided. In principle housekeeping is not included, but can be organized for you (low costs) according to your wishes and needs. Languages : English, German , Greek I am living next door and can be reached by phone 24 hours a day . I have been a "Rep" in the Athos area for more than 20 years. That means all kind of informations and organizations ( timetables, excursions, car rentals, scooters, doctors, beaches and bays, boat rentals, water sports, sights, hiking trails, markets, museums, excursion routes, wineries etc...) are my tools, my know how. I will be very happy, to offer these knowledges to you. Knowing well your surroundings is an essential part of feeling at home. See you soon, on that balcony, for a glass of wine or ouzo. The small village of Ouranoupolis is the last general accessable village before Mount Athos Republic, with a lot of restaurants and shops, also bars and cafes. Your home is located very well so that you can reach everything in the village by foot . It is close to the next organized beach of Xenia with other natural bays beside. A hiking trail to the border of Mount Athos Republic with an interesting excavation and an almost sicret small bay is about 2,5 km . In the village of Ouranoupolis itself you don`t need a car. Close to the home there is a public bus stop. You can reach the neighbour villages with nice beaches and several sights by bus. The ferry boat to the wonderful island of Ammouliani goes from Tripiti, only 6 km away and can be reached by bus. You can also visit Ammouliani and the Drenia islands by yourself by renting your own boat ( no license required). The next boat rental is only about 150m away and the harbour with boat trips to Mt. Athos or swimming tours about 400m. There are also taxis and car rentals .
