Lookout room 2 in the green heart of Slovenia

Lookout resort is a family estate where up to 12 guests can enjoy their vacation. There is a larger apartment on the first floor of the family house and two rooms on the ground floor. There are also some smaller wooden houses in the garden. "Lookout room Micika" (for 2 person) has a bathroom and toilet, which is shared with the adjoining "Lookout room Noneta". Guests can enjoy a peaceful break and indulge in comfort, or explore natural attractions and local cuisine. Lookout Resort is located in the green heart of Slovenia, in Rovte, at an altitude of 650 m, from where it is only a good half hour drive to the capital Ljubljana and a good hour drive to the sea or to the highest Slovenian mountain Triglav. The Škofja Loka-Logatec regional road, very popular with cyclists, motorcyclists and motorists, runs through Rovte, taking you through the beautiful Poljanska valley, through mighty forests towards the sea. Polde and Marija are husband and wife, one born in the city and the other in the countryside. Already in the 90s, our family escaped from the urban environment into the embrace of nature, where unimaginable opportunities for a better quality of life were offered. In this new environment, we established a mountain biking club in 1996 and set up the first Slovenian tourist cycling transversal LKT. While our son and other young members became more and more inclined to adrenaline sports, we remained faithful to tourist cycling. In our family, we are witnessing today the unique connection between motorsport and tourism. Since we were cyclists, hikers and, above all, travelers, our desires and needs for active leisure are not foreign to us. In our old age, we are slowly calming down our sports activities and devoting more and more free time to others, especially to those who want similar experiences. Be our guest and you will not regret it. If you just want to rest, you will definitely enjoy this at Lookout Resort, but if you want to be more active, then you will have to go on foot, by bike or by car. You will not have to go far to see local attractions, but a little further for world sights such as Antonijev rov, the second largest mercury mine in the world in Idrija, the cradle of Idrija lace, a visit to the more than 160 m deep Wild Lake and Klavže, also named Slovenian pyramids in the Nature park Zgornja Idrijca, a visit to the intermittent Lake Cerknica, Planinsko polje and Planinska jama, a unique underground confluence of two rivers, a visit to the beautiful Postojna Cave, a visit to Predjama Castle, a visit to the main capital Ljubljana or a jump to the sea and a tour of Piran. Lookout Resort is definitely a great starting point for all of this. For the bravest, there are bicycles available that take you to the most hidden corners of beautiful Slovenia, accompanied or without a guide. Breakfast or dinner is available by arrangement. The price depends on the choice. At the reception is a mini bar with payable Slovenian wine and local premium beer. Tap water is aquality drink water.
