There's a large "panorama" terrace and a private garden facing the lake, the perfect location to relax, unwind and really enjoy your holiday. There's a hiking trail that leads down to the lake with unlimited picturesque countryside and stunning views over Lake Como. The panoramic terrace is well furnished with a dining table and chairs as well as a small reading table. There are sun beds and a 5 m long wooden bench in the private garden that beg you to spend the whole day outdoors, simply soaking up the view. Under the terrace there is a lockable storage area that serves as a bike depot for 4 bicycles. It's taken the landlord three years to complete the loving restoration of Rustico Bianca, with the listed building regulators being consulted every step of the way.The result is quite stunning, Rustico Bianca is a real gem, full of modern comforts; it's light, bright, comfortable and has fantastic lake views from all rooms. The spacious eat-in kitchen on the ground floor flows out into the large terrace. On the first and second floors are the two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. There's an additional furnished balcony on the first floor. The top floor is a cozy living/T.V. area with sofa and guest bed. Authentic architecture has been tastefully combined with modern comforts such as satellite T.V., dishwasher, washing machine, they've thought of everything. There's high-quality wood and stone work throughout, granite floors, exposed ceiling beams, a Swedish wood burner. It's eco-friendly home with a solar heated hot water system. Overall the tasteful design and colour schemes make you feel right at home. This home is not suitable for guests with limited mobility or young children because there are some uneven pathways and some of the in/outside stairways are not very "child-friendly". Arrival and departure on Saturdays, outside school holidays on request exceptions. On request, a fifth person is possible, however, to higher charge. (Please request when booking) - The main entrance is on the mountain-side of the house and takes you directly into the open, well equipped kitchen with access to the panoramic terrace. A granite staircase leads from the kitchen to the upper floors. On the first floor is a stylish double bedroom with french doors to the balcony. The balcony is nicely furnished with a table and chairs. There is also a modern bathroom on this floor with a window, shower, washstand and W.C. On the second floor there is a cozy bedroom with two single beds and breathtaking lake views from the window. The second shower room is on this floor and has a washstand, W.C., washing machine and solar water heater. Both bedrooms also have a small writing desk. The third floor living room offers a spectacular view through the panoramic window. The living room is nicely furnished with an elegant leather sofa set, TV. area, guest bed and swedish wood burner. This beautifully restored farmhouse successfully combines comfort with contemporary design. Toasty, romantic and warm, this rustic holiday home has two fireplaces, one on the ground floor and the other on the top floor. It's an approx. 2 km walk down to the lake and into town. In Pianello there are three restaurants, a grocery store, a bakery, an ice cream shop and a boat dock. Follow the promenade and you'll reach the neighboring village of Musso which has a supermarket and other restaurants. There is parking in the Saliana village square. The road ends here and the hamlet itself is a car free, pedestrian zone, making it feel even more idyllic. A short footpath (about 200 m) leads you down the hill to the house, (well-signposted) and there's a Pianello has two beautiful beaches and a long promenade approx. 2 km away. The romantic Rustico Bianca offers stunning views out across the lake, yet it's just a few minutes down to the beaches, the boat dock and the Golden Triangle of Lake Como, consisting of Menaggio, Bellagio and Varenna. A paradise, not only for hikers and mountain bikers, but also for those looking for a peaceful escape or a chance to explore the Italian culture and at the end of the day, you can retreat into this wonderful private haven. The landlord also uses the vacation home himself and consequently it is particularly well thought out and lovingly maintained.
