This cosy three-bedroom cottage has recently been refurbished and offers comfortable accommodation for six people. The oldest parts of Orphan Crag are believed to date from the 17th century, with the property retaining many original features, such as plethora of oak beams. The cottage has been sympathetically refurbished, incorporating a wood burning stove, fully equipped kitchen and cosy dining and living rooms. Situated in the small village of Underbarrow within the Lake District National Park, Orphan Crag provides an excellent base for exploring the local area, by foot or car. Tucked away at the head of the beautiful Lyth Valley, the property is in an ideal location in which to enjoy the stunning local scenery, as well as providing easy access to the heart of the Lakes. The village boasts a pub serving excellent food whilst the bustling market town of Kendal, with its many shops, is just a short drive away. There are several other local eateries in the surrounding villages and Staveley, ten minutes drive away, is home to the Hawkshead Brewery. Just a little further and you reach the town of Bowness and Lake Windermere.
