You can dock your boat at the marina for fun days of sailing up to Hood River (20 miles up river) or down to Bonneville dam. The Pacific Crest Trail runs through Cascade Locks where the trail days is celebrated every summer. Lots of trails for shorter hikes. The walking and bicycle trail goes from Portland to Hood River, through Multnomah Falls.
