Welcome to, The Classic House! Name inspired from both the street it is found as well as its 1890s classic Victorian style. We are here to help you make the most of your trip for any occasion! This stately, spacious home is ready to host your upcoming getaway to the quaint Hallmark like village of Hoosick Falls! Ideal for visiting the area for vacation, events, special occasions, or a weekend getaway! The living room is grand and oversized. It is a perfect room for gatherings. The den is cozy and perfect for reading or watching your favorite movie. The well stocked kitchen is ample, charming and has a beautiful view of the historic carriage barn. It is also stocked with everything needed to cook and enjoy a family meal. The Classic House is conveniently located just a few minutes walk down the street to the village center which includes a coffee shop, restaurants, boutiques, parks, churches, etc. Local restaurants offer live music on weekends and/or live music is played in the village center park during summer months creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Pass through timeless, picturesque, covered bridges and over running rivers just a short enjoyable drive from the house. Take a drive to enjoy the scenery while stopping road side to purchase fresh local produce and eggs from the surrounding farms! Enjoy the most of your time as we try to fully stock most essentials such as but not limited to... towels, bedding, dishes & utensils, cups & plates, spices, coffee, tea, sugar, cooking oils, board games, blankets, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc. Plenty of parking on the property with the driveway going along the full length on one side of the house, ending with a multi car parking area in the back near a beautiful carriage barn. In the summer this is a great spot to venture to nearby Saratoga Race Track, Williamstown Theater Festival, Tanglewood, state & national parks/woods...various nature activities like kayaking on the Hoosic or Battenkill Rivers, hiking, biking, etc. Plenty of historical attractions and museums in nearby Bennington, VT as well as great shopping in Manchester, VT. There are plenty of summer stock theater productions as well as The Clark and MASS MoCA art museums. Feel the nostalgia on Wednesday evenings in July & August as the Hoosick Falls Community Band holds their band concert in Wood Park. The Hoosick Falls Country Club is a beautiful 9 hole course open to the public. In the winter, there are plenty of outdoor activities like skiing at Bromley, Mt Snow and Willard. Prospect Mountain offers XC skiing. The village also has an ice skating rink and the country club hill for sledding. Restaurants are diverse with Brown’s Brewery in a unique setting, Bistro 42 with French cuisine, Byte for wood oven pizza, and the eclectic Unihog for their Taco Tuesdays and fun bands. In the summer there are several window AC units. In winter, radiators provide for ample heating. The accommodations are clean, comfortable, and safe! **All 4 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms are upstairs, with a half bath on the first floor. **All mattresses are new within the last 2 years. **House available for hosting events, please inquire with your specifics as each event is unique. **We fully disinfect the property following each checkout to ensure a Covid safe environment!
