The Overlook---Amazing mountain views from private cabin retreat!

You will never tire of looking at this view---every change of light and every new cloud that passes yields yet another breathtaking scene. Listen to your favorite tunes on the outdoor speakers as you watch the day go by sitting in the rocking chair and sipping a toasty beverage on our spacious covered deck with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. At nightfall, roast marshmallows while you marvel at the amazing starry nights from the large firepit, or read a book by the indoor gas fireplace. Our 8.5 acre wooded lot gives you plenty of privacy and peace, creating a completely relaxing get-away. If you can peel yourself away from the cabin, there are ample activities within a short distance. Our gated community has a waterfall, stocked fish pond and hiking trails. Or, head out to nearby Boone, West Jefferson, Blowing Rock, and other mountain towns for a myriad of all-season outdoor activities, local shopping and amazing restaurants. In the winter, local ski areas are only an hour away. If you decide to cook at home, the open plan means that all the guests can hang out with the cook during the meal prep. A charcoal grill is provided, as well as a well-stocked, much-loved coffee bar, complete with various flavors of K-Cups, Hot Cocoa pods, and a milk frother. Should the weather keep you indoors, there's also a range of games and puzzles to keep you entertained. The entire drive to the Overlook is paved, so in the warmer months, any car can easily make the drive. However, in the winter, an All-Wheel Drive or 4WD vehicle is recommended if there is ice or heavy snow in the forecast. We are a dog-friendly home (our pup, Bodhi, loves it there!), so be sure to bring your best pal along! Woof!
