The Mistal is the central property of a row of three cottages created from an old stable block. A traditional stone built property with contemporary styling which affords stunning views over the countryside. Entering the cottage, there is a bedroom immediately to your right with a 6' super-king size zip and link bed which can be converted into two singles upon request. Within the bedroom is a small WC and wash basin. The corridor then leads to a second bedroom with a king-size bed and large arched window letting in lots of sunlight. A family shower room boasts a walk in shower, WC and wash basin. The sitting room houses a multi fuel stove in a huge fire place and patio doors which let the sunlight flood in and open onto a private patio, with a table and chairs for four guests and a charcoal barbecue. At the rear of the sitting room is the dining kitchen which is well equipped and contemporary in style, the dining area has a table seating four guests. The galleried mezzanine area is accessed by a staircase from the entrance hallway. This useful space overlooks the sitting room and out onto the patio. This is a warm and cosy area, with a large bookcase containing numerous books and magazines, a chaise lounge, a Chesterfield style armchair and footstool on which to relax. Should you wish to do a little work, you will find a table and chair on which to rest your laptop. Ground Floor: Open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting area Kitchen With two electric ovens, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. Utility room With washing machine. Dining area With dining table and seating for four guests and valley views through the patio doors. Sitting room With multi-fuel stove, television with Freeview, access to Netflix (please use your own log in) and DVD player. Bedroom one With a 5' king-size bed. Bedroom two With a 6' super-king size zip and link bed (converts to two 3' beds on request). En-suite With WC and wash basin only. Family shower room With walk-in shower cubicle, wash basin and WC. First Floor: Galleried study/reading area With large wingback armchair and foot stool, comfy chaise lounge, sofa and desk. Outside: Private patio with views, garden furniture and charcoal barbecue. Shared driveway with parking for two vehicles, one space beside the front door and other in front of the yard below the patio. Behind the cottage is open moorland. This is walking country and there are routes over the moor, across the valley and beyond, including part of the Pennine Way. It is also cycling country and near to several sections of The Tour de Yorkshire. The Yorkshire Dales are on the doorstep, with beautiful villages to explore and walk through, and a little further afield are historic sites such as York. Cowling is the nearest village, with Skipton just seven miles away. The Mistal can be booked together with Craiglands Cottage to accommodate eight guests in total. Infants under the age of 12 months are welcome, please bring your own equipment. (Please note there is limited space for a small travel cot in the larger bedroom). Sorry, no pets.
