At 5km mount Taburno offers plenty of paths to walk, in a dreamy landscape where you are most likely to encounter free horses and other animals in their natural habitat. Also at 15/20 minute distance there are charming villages such as medieval Sant Agata de Goti, or Cerretto Sannita known for its traditional ceramics. Not to mention the Royal Palaces of Caserta, an Unesco world heritage site you do not want to miss. If you are into longer excursions the mesmerising Amalfi coast is a must do.
