Mid-Century Inspired Catskill Chalet

This Elka Park 3 bedroom is a cozy mountain escape blended from original wood details, midcentury furniture and moroccan textiles. The open floor plan allows guests to seamlessly transition from kitchen to bar, to the curl up by the fireplace. The house is tucked away on a dead end road in the Catskills and feels very private, but is just a short 8 minute drive to Tannersville and 10 minute drive to Hunter Mountain. The galley kitchen features stainless steel appliances, pots and pans and fully stocked kitchen accessories. We treat this as our home away from home so you will find everything you need. The living room, with large skylights and fireplace is the perfect wilderness snow globe to cuddle up in and the large table is a great gathering space for dinners and game nights. The bar is a great place to work during the day and post up for a cocktail at happy hour. The master bedroom features a king size bed and en suite bath. Second upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and secretaries desk and drawers. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. There is another newly renovated bathroom on the first floor. Outside there is a large fire pit area and deck with additional dining area in the warmer months. The house is equipped with both charcoal and gas grills. Guests must bring their own charcoal. Propane will be provided. Our street is very quiet so a walk down the road is a refreshing morning activity. While the house is renovated with high speed internet, the charm of a Catskills cabin in the woods remains.
