Ideally placed for village and woodland walks, and with Lake Lodge opposite and the popular Hambro Arms just a stroll away, a break at this delightful hideaway is perfect for families and couples who wish to enjoy this unique location. The property has been cleverly architect designed and offers an open-plan sitting and dining room with double height ceiling on the ground floor, and there also is a well equipped kitchen, and cloakroom. A modern staircase leads up to the first floor with its generous king-size bedroom, a mezzanine floor overlooking the sitting room below with a bedroom with two single beds, and a family bathroom with sunken bath. Enjoy a stroll along ‘The Street’ and take in the pretty village views and chocolate box cottages, explore the surrounding beautiful countryside and nearby villages, or venture to the county town of Dorchester, market town of Blandford Forum or the wonderful Jurassic Coast. Ground floor: Open plan living and dining room with double height ceiling Sitting area With three seater sofa-bed, loveseat, and television with SKY, Netflix and Freeview. Dining area With table and six chairs. Kitchen Well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. First floor: Master bedroom With king-size bed (zip-link mattress), built-in wardrobes, dressing table and chest of drawers. Twin mezzanine bedroom With single beds and dressing tables looking over the sitting room below. Bathroom With a sunken bath and hand-held shower head, wash basin and WC. Laundry facilities: A washing machine for guests to use is located at the rear of the adjoining garage. Outside: There is a gated entrance into the property and a large, wide gravelled drive which is shared with the neighbouring thatched cottage. There is a private dining area with a table and chairs, and a lawned garden area for guests to enjoy. Parking for up to 2 cars. Additional Information: Infants and children are welcome. Please be mindful that young children will need to be supervised due to the mezzanine floor. A high chair and travel cot is available upon request. Please bring your own cot linen. A stairgate is not possible to be fitted. Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge).
