Room in home in wooded lakeside NH

One single room in simple bungalow on acre of land with access to Millville Lake two houses away. Swim, canoe, ice skate, snowshoe. Easy commute to Boston, the White Mountains or Atlantic beaches. Bathroom shared in home. Quiet, safe neighborhood Salem, NH The bedroom is comfortable and moderate. The highlight is the location - central for a parent visiting college students, leaf peeper heading north, those wanting to explore Boston without high hotel costs. Paddle the canoe or read in the screened-in room outside. Canobie Lake Amusement Park, Robert Frost's Homestead, America's Stonehenge, Sales Tax Free shopping (no sales tax in New Hampshire), Hot Air Balloon rides, local fairs all nearby. There is one bathroom in the home with shower/bath which is shared with host. Living room and dining area are open to enjoy. Kitchen use is not included, but tea and hot chocolate are provided with an electric tea kettle. I teach in Boston two days a week and watch my grandchildren three days a week. On the days I teach I leave very early and return late. On the days I watch my grandchildren I am home most if not all of the day. I love to welcome international guests; I work in Italy part of the year. Since I work internationally the WiFi is strong. For the shopper, Salem, New Hampshire is a paradise since New Hampshire has no sales tax. A major Mall (Mall at Rockingham) along with many smaller clustered malls and shopping areas provide any item you can imagine to purchase. Chain restaurants and local small business restaurants are available for a variety of budgets. There is a rail trail ideal for biking, running, walking and snowshoeing after a snowstorm which runs south to Methuen and north to Londonderry (perhaps 25 miles length?) which is easily accessible from the house (1 mile). Salem is not a good choice for those looking for nighttime hotspots! You will need a car since public transportation is not available. There is bus service to Boston (South Station and Logan Airport) three miles from home. Trains are available in neighboring town, but a car is needed to get to station. Parking is in driveway in front of house. Uber and Lyft available in the town. Neighbor is a Lyft driver to arrange pickup or drop-off at Logan Airport. Towels, sheets, soap and shampoo will be provided.
